So a December trip looks like it's happening! We are curious about doing 2 nights at Desire and 2 nights at Temptation. Best rates I've found have been on orbitz as a package with flight, so I'm not sure how to split. Is it better to book straight through original resorts or will orbitz be able to split a package? Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with booking a split trip. Thanks!:aktion033:

When booking two separate hotels and airfare at the same time, I have found it best to call Expedia, Orbitz or Cheaptickits. The discount that you get by booking a hotel and airfare at the same time also applies when booking two hotels, but can't be done online. Phone these guys and compare prices.
we did the TTR and Desire split reserving direct and booking our own flight. Couple suggestions, do Desire first. We did TTR first and wished we had flipped them. Second, we're splitting this trip with a Playa stay then to TTR. We booked USA Transfers and they're doing the complete transfers, Cancun airport to Platinum Yucatan Princess, then to TTR and then back to the airport. All private vehicles and $130 total, which was a pretty good deal I thought.:aktion069:
guess maybe we thought after the stress of day to day back home, the chill time at Desire would lead into the party time at TTR. Guess everyone has their preferences in different ways.
We always have TTR and Desire together and booking straight through original resorts. We did not bother with transportations between TTR and Desire RM. Taxi cost just $35- 40 and you can take it when you are ready to leave.
We are the opposite of some, we liked Desire first to chill and to end with the party at TTR. And we also just used a taxi.
