Has anyone else used these guys to book TTR through ? I used the link from Steves sticky and they are cheaper than Alpharooms etc
Reason for asking is because we booked last night , paid by PayPal got a confirmation receipt from Hotelsclickcom and from PayPal that we paid etc . Now I get an email from Hotelsclickcom saying they need bank information etc etc and if they don't get it within 24 hrs the reservation will expire . Tried to call the number on the email which I think is in the UK and guess what the office is closed for the day:banghead::banghead:. I hope our Feb shitshow booking is not in jeopardy ??
Please, check with your bank, on line or in person, to view your account. We have never heard of them. Best of luck. If PayPal confirmed, they should have their money.
I called PayPal and they confirmed the transfer to them so if they don't exist then PayPal will owe me .
If you paid in full TTR should give you a confirmation , that they have received full payment for your booking.,, the booking company.s confirmation is USELESS until they transfer the money to TTR , the reservation can be bumped at any time. The booking company makes a reservation, but then sits on your money until the 30 day mark. The further out you are the more that can happen Its all about risk and how much you want to take The link you mention on here just brings you to a search engine for rooms , then, forwards you to the next site ect ,, Trivago does the same thing ,, bringing up cheap rooms from company's I have never heard of. Paypal is just confirming they gave the money to the booking company, nothing else. Paypal vs CC ,, i would rather use a Travel CC on such a booking, easier to mange in case of problems . I,m a bit biased on the subject cause I only used such a company ounce and got burnt. Had I not seen other reports from people on here , I would have shown up in Mex ,, without a room, at a sold out resort.
We saw crazy good pricing too, but ultimately booked direct with the hotel. Saving $100 wasn't worth the worry or bs if it didn't pan out. As they say, if it looks too good to be true it probably is.
There are some shady booking companies that have left travelers without a room. I was going to use one with a too good to be true rate last time also, but after reading a bunch of bad reviews about the booking company I went with Alpharooms again. Best bet is to do a google search for that booking company with reviews in the search line and see what you can find. In fact I just did a search under the name you listed above, and I am sorry to say you are not going to be happy with what you find.
Well if it's on the net through Google then it must be true right ???? Everything you see on the net is 100% true isn't it ?:aktion069: I just read on the net that Elvis is still alive , they have found Jimmy Hoffa , man never did land on the moon and 911 was all a conspiracy .....who knew !!!!
Elvis died ?? again ? thing about reviews is that 98% of the 2% that have a bad experience will review about it and 2% of the 98% that had a good experience will review about it . made those numbers up ,, but you get the point ?? will alway be more bad then good reported I also look at the dates of bad reviews,, they may have a bunch from 4 or 5 years ago , then nothing since , cause they changed business practices. I also look at how problems were resolved .
We just booked using Hotelsclick and it certainly seemed sketchy but we figured we would give it a shot. Called TTR 4 days after making our PayPal payment and lo and behold they indeed had our reservation and confirmed we are fully paid up. I think you will be fine if you check with the resort directly to confirm.
