    A popular well known children's TV show host, on the national TV network in Canada was known as Mr. Dressup. The show ran for probably 20 to 25 years in the 70's and 80's and was on every weekday morning. It was predominantly aimed at pre-school kids.

    He had a huge trunk which was filled with wigs, costumes, hats, accessories for make believe skits.
    He called it The Tickle Trunk.

    It probably only had a few items in it each day in relation to the planned show's programming.
    But to us kids, it seemed the Tickle Trunk had every cool accoutrement you could evrr imagine.

    Canadians of a certain vintage know the term as a 'box o play items.'
