    Hi all,

I'm sorry if this has been covered more times than Hugh Hefner's mattress but has anyone ever had any joy requesting a quiet room well in advance of their trip?

I've sent an e-mail to the reservations address on the Temptation website but haven't had a reply so not holding out much hope! We don't arrive till the 5th October so not a mad panic yet.

    Cheers
    Steve

the best way to get a room is to pay for it ,, ie , Ocean front, Jac, rooms , ocean view ect,, anything else you get when you arrive at the front desk.

you can request,, ie 5000 block, Patios,s ect,, they will give them to you if they are availible when you check in.

the logistics of reserving specific rooms is pretty hard, considering, the amount of people checking in and out, imagine if every one starts asking for specific rooms ( especially during peak times )

that said it doesn't hurt to ask, but should have done it with your booking in the comments section

    Thanks for the advice :)

Unfortunately we booked through a big English tour operator so you don't have the option to request anything specific. We're not after a specific room or anything like that - just wanted to try and ensure we got a quiet room after hearing horror stories about the ones near paty-o's!

I'm fairly confident that you will have no troubles getting a room in a quiet area by just asking during check-in. As Donald said, its a little more complicated if someone says I need room 5134 on October 5th lol. Worst case scenario is you take a noisy room for a night and they move you the next day.

Also, the resort will not be sold out. We had lots of options last year. You will be fine :)

If you tell them again at check-in that you would really like a quiet room, and maybe even provide a specific block, then they will try to accommodate you. It might help to say that you sent an email about it. Also, when you do the pre-checkin(on the main website 14 days before) write it on there too.

You only real problem would be if you are checking in late, and the resort is sold out. Then you will have very limited options to work with. I always suggest asking to see the room before you take it. If other rooms aren't ready, just say you are ok waiting for another one to be ready.

    Great stuff thanks.

Counting down the days now - we stopped at the Riu Tequila last year, which was very nice, but very dull. From what I've seen and heard about Temptations this year may be a bit different!

I agree with Steve put it in the request section when you do early check in and definitely ask to see the room before taking it, we asked for a quiet room our first 2 trips and they were accommodating.

We are premier members but aren't getting in until around 11:00 pm, spoke to Omar when we did our reservation and he put down our room request in our notes, will request it again when we do early check in. Not sure if we need to do early check in since we are members, but with getting in after hours and having to check in at the front desk I figure it cant hurt.

Do members still use the express check in?
