There doesn't seem like here has been many trip reports lately. I just wondered how the new bigger boat has been working out? It seemed from the pictures there wasn't room to sit, very shanty, unlike the smaller one. I know more people were needed for the bigger one. Which one has been used more often?
The bigger boat is used only when cruise is near or sold out. The boat is nice, more room to move around, two dance platforms, the downfall is that the two sides of boat is seperated by the boat mast, hard to see what is happening on other side of boat. I do love the wooden dance areas saves your feet from rope burn, and broken toes.
We only use the bigger boat when we have more than 75 people, which doesn't happen in low season such as summer. We have used it maybe 15 times out of approx 40 so far this year. It is far from 'shanty', it cost over a million USD. It does have a different layout from the smaller boat and has pluses and minuses depending on what individuals consider important. Even with 95 people or so there is plenty of room imho. General feedback is that people prefer the bigger one, I'd like to use it more often but we cant use a boat that has a capacity of 100 to take out 40 people. Others feel free to chime in, although the number of people that have used both boats to be able to compare is not that great.
No mater the boat..........you'll not be disappointed. This is the best fun you'll have in Cancun....unless you are into the library scene?
Have done both boat sizes...love the new bigger boat Yes it does have a mast/sail down the centre of the front of the boat that kind of seperates the front...but hell just take a walk to the other side to see whats going on there
Normally enough going on everywhere to have fun...even when it's pissing rain...just had to cover the drink(s)
