so we were intending to have 2 suitcases and 2 small carry-ons (gotta love those baggage fees) for our 11 day vacation. At this point I'm wondering how in the world are we gonna fit all our (okay, mostly her) stuff in just 2 suitcases. What's the norm? We go to Chicago for a weekend and it's like I've got to hire a porter to get the bags to the hotel from the parking garage!
We go with 1 carry-on and 1 checked bag each, but for the most part, we keep the carry-on empty so we can stow our winter gear (if applicable) in before we board the plane! My dresses are pretty thin so I can fit a lot of outfits in my checked bag and still have room for shoes. My husband packs pretty lightly, too.
We've done 2 weeks on 2 small cases and 2 hand luggage. It's a challenge. I strip back to bare minimum (swimwear, couple of dresses, few pairs of shoes) and buy all toiletries at the airport. They only weigh the carry ons before the shops, so I've gotten away with carrying a lot more weight than the 5kg you're allowed for hand luggage before. I buy washing liquid and hand wash some stuff in the sink and let it dry on the balcony to re-use some stuff.
2 weeks = 2 large checked bags and 2 small carry ons. Since women's resort clothing is so small/thin, rolling them up leaves me more than enough room for the bigger items like shoes and theme accessories. I find the biggest compromise is heels, which take up so much damn room, so I usually settle on 4-5 pairs and usually carry the chunkiest pair with me on carry on.
I always overpacked. I take a lot of stuff that I never even wear. This time I am going to try to limit it to 2 large checked bags and 2 carry-ons. We will see if I can do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We (as in Me) are trying to make 8 days, 7 nights, work with one checkin and 2 carryons bags with Delta. I can get 95 % of my stuff in my carryon... but there are things we want to take that TSA will not allow in the carryon bag Delta did tell us that the checkin bag (at a cost of 25 dollars each way) can weight up to 50 pounds and there are not any weight limits on the carryon bag. They just have to fit the size measurements. So the wife will have about 80 to 90 pounds to negotiate with, to carry her stuff to TTR... Less than a week out... let the good times roll...
rangehat:How much can a few g strings and a couple of pairs of shoes take up:aktion069::musik026::ladiesman1:
This year we brought 3 suitcases at 46lbs ea.....or close..... plus carry on's.......one full of shoes.....boots, toys and fetish stuff.........we used most of that but half the clothes never left the room. Next time we're cutting back.... !
I tend to over pack as well but we are only bringing one large checkin and two carry ons, it should be more than enough, swim suits don't take up much room and that's what I plan a being in most of the time so....we will see.....lol D
