Hi all i want to book for TTR (february 11 to february 18). Is 3600$ taxes in for 2 direct flight with air transat is it to much or i should pay less? I tried to look but we are first timer with trip and resort so we are confused. Thankx for your help !
For a week that can be pretty close to sold out ,our crappy dollar and generally a busy time to escape our winters I think it is not too bad of a price. I'd shop around for air and hotel separately to see if you can do better but I'd do it quick before either TTR sells out or prices go up again (our crappy dollar). West Jet can have some pretty good deals to Cancun (we paid less than a thousand on our last 2 trips) and others have posted travel sites that they swear by for best prices at TTR. I'll try find the thread for you and post the link here. Congratulations as well Scott
We are going on West Jet out of Toronto in October and for two with Taxes it was $2400 for two ($1200 each including the tax ) but again it's October not February so prices will be much cheaper and as well with our dollar being crappy prices will keep going up... find a travel company that offers a lowest price match guarantee and keep looking to see if it goes down before then and then use that ... we booked a while back before the dollar dropped huge and now our trip would be $300 more per person for that same week
Are you premier members? The resort would be cheaper. I was skeptical about it signed up and now have beneficiaries that help pay for the membership. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
Way to much, like $ 1000 too much, should be around $2400 is a good price. Shop around, cheaptickets, orbitz, alpharooms
We paid a few hundred less than that for 10 days at Halloween from Calgary so while it's not outrageous, it's no screaming deal either.
Someone posted a short while ago that Apharooms was over $300 /night for Feb. I am fairly sure they can get a little better price but with our $ tanked I can't see a $1K savings...but then again you just never know and it does pay to shop around. As a comparison; with our membership and air for the same time would be about $2900 CDN. A referral week may be the way to go for them.
Wow, we see ya'll Canadians pay thru the nose for airfare. There are now lots of flight options & competition from many airlines flying out of Houston to Mexico & Latin America. We now have SouthWest, Spirit, VivaAerobus, & AeroMexico flying down there. We've booked Spirit to Cancun for $250 non-stop roundtrip & $260 to Costa Rica on SouthWest...
Wish I could say the same coming from Philly. Haven't found anything less then $500+ in all my trips.
