Hello all. Looking for your opinions. The two of us are planning to stay at an adults only result in January. Have narrowed it down to Temptation or Golden Parnassus. For those that have been to both, other than the party atmosphere of Temptation, which resort do you prefer?

"...other than the party atmosphere of Temptation...."?
I don't understand that question, but the party atmosphere IS THE DIFFERENCE! That's what has brought us back time and time again.
Also, the people are far more sociable at Temptation.

I've never been to Golden Parnasssus, but if Temptation didn't have that "party atmosphere" I wouldn't love it so much.

Without the party atmosphere, Temptation is a *good* all-inclusive.

We've been to the Golden Parnassus the last two years. From the reports I'be read fro other resorts, it really more resembles Desire during the day. Much more laid back, and relaxing with minimal activity or games. The GP service is outstanding, and they will go out of their way to make your stay very enjoyable. They have many repeat customers who say the staff is second to none.

At night it can be more hit or miss. They have a couple of activities, couple game night which is fun, and can be adult in nature, and karaoke. Then most people head to the Tiki bar. The Tiki bar at night is the main selling point of the party atmosphere of the resort. However it can be a little hit or miss. We had a good time both years, and last year there was stuff going on there that would rival any resort for wild activity. The seem to be going thru a change now however, and moving staff around, and that has hurt the Tiki experience a lot.

For that main reason we have booked Temptation for this fall. GP has a superior beach, and view out of the room, but going backwards in fun, is not what we are looking for.

I would say the rooms(minus the GP view), and food are probably about even.

we were at the GP last May / June..it was actually pretty tame. I think this is because of the changes going on etc... As soon as we are able we have decided to try Tempation.

If not for the "party atmosphere" at TTR and the great friends that we see there we probably wouldn't bother going to Cancun at all!

They are both good as far as food, rooms, and drinks. Service is outstanding at both. GP is definitely more quiet and as Restling said above entertainment/bar is hit or miss. First time at GP we went to TTR for Boobs Cruise. Ended up staying for the night getting a room because we met such amazing friends and had a blast. I'll also add these friends have become family and we go back every year with them. It's vacation you'll enjoy regardless just depends on the atmosphere you're looking for. Have fun
