I guess it depends, which RIU resort in Cancun are you staying at? They are two completely different hotels.
When are you guys going to DRM, me & my soon to b husband r going 2 DRM Nov 2nd-6th. After spending 7 days at TTR.
We're doing 5 nights, from Sept 3rd to Sept 8th. After basically getting drunk all day and staying up to 3 AM every night, 5 days basically knocks you out. When you include the Boobs Cruise, you are really feeling it on the way home. I needed the whole week to recover before flying out to London the next weekend. I did go to work for the whole week though but it was tough.
I agree with ScubaSteve that we're probably going to be pretty biased on this forum. Because I love Temptation so much, I would say to spend all your days there. Alternatively, maybe spend the first few days at Riu first then have a blast at Temptation for the remainder of your trip.
I think 4 days is sufficient to get a first taste, but you will leave exhausted and wanting more. Our first time there, we planned to split 5 days Temptation, 5 days Desire. The day we went to Desire, we only stayed one night and moved right back to TTR for the party (not that Desire doesn't have it's up sides too). If you like to party and dress up in theme, I would definitely suggest at least 7 days so you get to experience the different nights (and different crowds) It was also great to see confirmation from other experienced guests that 10 days is the sweet spot (we've come to the same conclusion). We've done up to 15, and the last few days we were in recovery mode just lounging and sleeping anyways!!!
Was the Desire party scene not that good? Was it a hassle to transfer back from Desire to Temptation? Did you get any money back for the difference in price?
After 25 plus trips, we have kind of settled in on two 10 night trips per year. When Suz was working, it would take her 3 days just to relax so 7 nights was never enough. 10 nights seems to be the point where we are somewhat ready to go home. Firm
