We've been 2 times and we're heading back for our 3rd trip in October. Our first trip was June 2013, and we had some reservations as we arent in the lifestyle either, but our reservations were wrong. We met SO many amazing people. Some were swingers, some were not. Neither acted any differently towards us. Everyone was respectful and we all watched out for each other. People may ask if you are up for more than some harmful flirting etc, but as long as you decline in a respectful manner, you get the same amount of respect back. We didnt feel uncomfortable about any thing or anyone in the sexy pool. The 'motorboating and body shots' are something you have to choose to get involved in. Not something that is foreced upon you. Trust me, as 2 married gay women, we were slighly worried about our first trip but we were mande to feel so comfortable and made so many awesome friends that we're repeaters now and always will be! Temptaion is our second home and the frineds we have made and the staff are like extended family! There is no better vacation if yo u ask me!
In our opinion, the beach isn't really bad, but it's not terribly wide, and it doesn't benefit from the bigger waves like you get on eastern facing beaches of the hotel zone thanks to their proximity to the open water. It certainly isn't as nice or big as the beaches in Playa Del Carmen, Akumal, or Tulum, but they are on open water and unprotected from the winds and waves off the sea. The TTR beach reminds us more of the beaches you might find at the local lake at home, with waves about the same size. Not bad, but not as nice as some of the others to the east and south.
No one will touch you unless you allow them to. Motorboating only happens if they women allow it. There is NO random people doing these things to people. It's all consensual and usually quite hilarious. If you go to Temptation and steer clear of the sexy pool, you likely don't belong at Temptation because that's where all the fun is...... I'm sure you'll enjoy it...
I totally understand your questions. My hubby & I had them before our first trip too. We ended up having so much fun we laughed a lil at ourselves for getting so worked up. We found at the end of the beach there are little stands set up with different activities to do such as jet skiing. The Boobs Cruise has the snorkeling you may be looking forward. It is good that you are open to meeting people and chatting with them. We have seen couples who don't really socialize and they never look happy. There are times when you have quiet time with each other, but the Paty O's scene is the place to make friends and awesome memories. First timers Gang, My wife and I are going to be headed to Temptations for the first time in a week and a half. Currently we are planning on staying at two hotels during our trip. Temptations for four days then the Riu for 4 days. Question: Is four days enough time at temptations of do you think we should change or plans and stay the entire trip at temptations? Current trip dates to Temptations are Aug 15-19, this could turn into the 15-23rd, thoughts?
