Is anyone else nervous that they will be freaked out by the atmosphere? I'm not sure if I will fit in and I'm worried I won't be able to "have fun" like my husband wants... Are there ever like 'down times' when you're there? Or is it like non-stop sex/sex-realted stuff in your face all the time?
It is one of the most relaxed environments i have enjoyed, It is not all in your face it. It is what you make it. You dont have to do anything you dont want to, Just take some time to get a drink and sit back and observe everything then get involved at you own comfort level
If it gets too intense for you at any point just head to the quiet pool. From what I've read Temptations is only as wild for you as your participation allows.
This will be our first time there as well, not really nervous but not sure what to expect either. From what we have read on the forum there should be no reason to be nervous as everyone sounds really nice and helpful. It would be nice to meet you guys at the pool and have a few drinks and chat. I wouldn't go as far as to say "non-stop sex or sex related" describes TTR. Non-stop sexy party yes so I think all will be good for you if you are worried about in your face sexual activities. Sit back, relax and observe. Then decide whether or not to participate in the activities; theme nights and the sexy pool side games. And it goes with out saying if you decide to get involved in them it is at your comfort level. If you need a break from the pool side party you can always take a breather at the quiet pool for a bit. We have been 8 times and I must say, your perception is a little off-base. Sure, it's a sexually charged atmosphere, but there aren't sexual activities taking place all over the resort grounds. As a matter of fact, it isn't allowed in any public places. Topless women are common place and you may see the occasional man convinced to remove his swim shorts for extra points in a competition, but it certainly isn't a sexfest........well, perhaps behind closed doors.......if you wish Prepare yourself for hanging out with some of the most sociable people on the planet! If you are quietly sitting alone, it won't be long before someone invites you into their circle of friends. The staff at the resort will also become a part of your fun. Chatting with bartenders, wait staff and entertainment crew is always fun! Everyone does Temptation their own way. There's the Sexy Pool, the beach and the Quiet Pool........ find where you feel comfortable, have a shot, relax and enjoy yourself! Enjoy an elegant dinner, find your way to Paty'Os and dance like nobody is watching! -Joe-
We too are first timers, and although I keep reading that no one judges and the motto is no one knows you and no one gives a shit....I'm still a bit leery.....I mean it's just human nature, ya know.....When I was looking for a care free vaca and hubby stumbled upon this resort, it was Far from what I was looking for....but I'm also up for trying anything to put the spice back in life. You have to understand this year is our 32 Anniversary (celebrating a 2nd honeymoon a month early Nov. 5th!) AND after 31 and a half yrs., we are FINALLY Empty nesters!! LOL ......Long story, but happy to be entering a new chapter and this trip is actually rekindling a lot for both of us. And I like that!! It's what we need, it's what we want, so we are going with an open mind, gonna be ourselves and make the most of it!! This is definitely OUT of our comfort zone but how can you know if you'll like or not like, it until you try it!! Right?? I was telling a male friend of mind where we were going he chuckled and said get ready for the live porn shows....I laughed and said this place isn't like that...well long story short, and come to find out he and his wife had vaca'd at Desire where I guess anything goes there!?!....lol (personally I would think that it being more upscale and pricier it would be the other way around with TTR....but I'm glad it's not) We are not in the lifestyle nor are we naturalist BUT, we do have open minds and love each very much, I'm the flirt and he's the instigator!! I'm the social butterfly and he sits back and observes, I'm the loud and rowdy one he's the laid back chiller. So I guess what I'm trying to say is stop worrying, take a deep breath, just go with the flow and be yourselves and make the most of it. Participate in the theme nights and take the chances of getting out of your comfort zone. Do the things you'd never do at home. What has helped me a lot IS the motto No one knows you and No one gives a shit....if you tell yourself that everyday (as your picking out the sluttiest of outfits to wear you start to believe you can rock any outfit!!) Nothing is more sexy than pure confidence!! That's what I'll be doing...and having a ball doing it!! I hope that your trip is everything you dreamed and all in good ways! D
