I don't blame the security team but management could have handled it better. Whenever we have stayed at another chain of hotels, whether it be Iberostar, Barcelo, or Palladium in Mexico, if one stays at the premium resort there has been an understanding that you are allowed to use the amenities at the less expensive sections. Yes, they did notice the Desire bands and they could have asked someone with their radios but they refused to do so. There is a large turnover in security, kind of scary if you think maybe they were too corrupt or incompetent for the police department. Sarcasm!!!!

There are rules and one of those rules is guests from Desire are allowed on the property.

They were only doing their job.... but doing it incorrectly

We have had this issue maybe 10 times with Desire guests coming for the cruise in the last couple of years, maybe 8 times it's not been a problem twice it has.

    Again missing the point
Don't care about Pearl or Boobscruise or whatever. Not part of the problem here.

They were doin their job. I stand by my original point.
The red flag arose when ordering multiple drinks.
Only members are spose to consume fron the members bar.

Had the OP gone to Diego's or the bikini Bar....I wonder if any of ths would've happened.

I see the point, and I get what you're saying. But considering that these are customers of the same business owner, you would think the very least that they could do is at least check with the head of security before throwing them out on their ass.

I realize this post has nothing specifically to do with Pearl and that the security guys have a job but at some point customer service should still be followed up on. I don't feel like the security guards did their due diligence in this case. These were after all, still guests of original resorts. The lack of communication between staff and security management also shows lack of proper customer service.

Four of us were members, as if that matters! Many times, maybe 200 over the years, I have picked up more than 2 drinks at a time. Not like I was ordering a stack of 50 shots utilizing all available bartenders. The boat docked at 5 so many patrons had already called it a day by then anyway!

Nothing to do with the members bar. For a start they were followed from the boat before they got near any bar because they didn't have wristbands on, no other reason. The security were most likely present to see if they left the hotel or stayed. When the guests concerned didn't leave security acted hastily without checking with the people above them who had granted permission. They didn't do their job correctly.

Secondly, the members bar serves to non members quite happily if invited by a member. I have spent many an hour at the members bar with no problem despite being a non member. Since 2 of the 5 couples were members it's not unreasonable to invite drinks to the other 3. They asked for beer and water, which is the same whatever bar you get it at.
