Just put your shoulders back and have confidence...nothing makes you look more attractive. Back in college I was much rounder. I would say I was fat, and everyone else would say "Your not fat you're like Samoan". I guess it didn't act fat, so no one really thought I was. I was just the large confident person with a nice tan. It seemed to work well with the ladies
Yet again, the wonderful Trish has hit the nail on the head. At TTR everyone really does have the 'Nobody knows you and nobody gives a shit!' attitude, which lives up to the concept of the resort. You can go and be who you otherwise wouldnt feel comfortable being day to day. TTR made me feel so good about myself, as i am, in a similar situation to Trish in terms of being a bigger gal. But do you know what, the frriends I made and the staff make u feel like a million dollars. I have always felt comfortable in things i would never dream of wearing at home. Sure there are some beautiful petite woman at TTR, but there are also people who fit into every other calibre, and thats why we have been repeaters for the past 3 years. Just go, party, meet new awesome people and leave all inhibitions at the door! Trust me, within an hour you will be wondering what all the fuss was about in your head! Enjoy!
I hear ya. I've been going on beach vacations for years and have been very aware that I'm a big guy. Whenever I went to the beach I'd wear a T-shirt and if I wanted to swim I'd change (quickly!) into a rash guard type swim shirt. At TTR I don't mind walking around without a shirt at all, I don't even think about it. I do perform a generous amount of manscaping before we get there but I've also seen guys who do not and I'm sure all but the most shallow of people could care less. No worries
Don't sweat it! There are all shapes and sizes there. Sounds oversimplified, but it really is that easy...... sf
I wouldn't worry. My soon to be hubby is a hairy chest "dad bod" sexy beast. Sure he's self conscious about his body and what people may think. Personally I find him very sexy but some people have opinions about hair and a body that shows how well I cook. Those people aren't who you want to hang out with there, hang out with the awesome fun people who have better things to do than to judge you for enjoying life. I'm not a twig, I have what I like to refer to as an Irish body, curvy and soft. I'm not going to shy away from having all sorts of fun.
Maybe we are odd but we (hubby and I) both are bigger and we love each other as is. No matter what. We are not going to impress anyone and we just want to have a good time. From ALL that I have read on here you will be just fine.
Trish and ScubaSteve pretty much nailed it. People who exercise and are in good shape are likely more self conscience than you. Go enjoy yourselves, leave you inhibitions behind and have the time of your life.
This is awesome! My husband feels the same way. He is encouraging me daily to overcome my own insecurities. We even have a new mantra - No top Temptation - for the sexy pool. I am thrilled to be able to please him this time. As long as you love each other and have the thrill of the daring sexy atmosphere between you - people will be happy you are enjoying yourselves. Yes it is great to meet new people and make some friends but when you get home from your vacation you still have each other and can share in the great memories that will keep you going until your next TTR vacation. oxox
