We have AT&T for our cell phone provider.
Does anyone know if there is service for AT&T at the resort?

Yes you get service. Make sure you call and add a international plan for the period you are going.

Call to double check, but I do not think you need an international plan if you have AT&T. We will be there next month & my hubby (who happens to work for AT&T) assures me that we will be able to use our phones & we will not be roaming.

AT&T you have international calling from the US to other countries but receiving calls abroad is not included in that. Also if you unlimited text you can send and receive as many as you want as long as they are not multi media text like pictures, vids etc.

Great information as I'm on AT&T as well and wondered this.

So we should turn off wireless data for sure, right?

Yes........turn off the data when you get on the plane! You'll still get texts and phone calls if you want them!

Like stated above with AT&T all you have to do is get the international plan but don't forget to cancel it when you get back so that you only pay for one month.
