Hi 2 rookies coming in August Can anyone shed some light on the different color wristbands?? Thanks so much
Red ones are the standard TTR all-inclusive ones White ones are for Premier members Orange ones mean you're on CCC (given out on the Boobs Cruise) White with lips means you're in the lifestyle or lifestyle friendly Many groups have their own, we have several orange ones with various group names on them and a camo one from a group in April Chinos gives out wristbands for people who have donated to his cancer cause, we have pink and black ones from that also I think at the end of April we had about 5 or 6 wristbands each by the end of the trip lol
Red - these are the standard guests receive on check-in, if you don't have one you won't be allowed in the property. White - These replace the red ones for premier members. You will get these on check-in if you are a member or on a member referral. These allow you access to a premier member bar (it has some extra types of booze an bottled beer options), and also you can get poolside/beach food and beverage service. Additionally, there is a member deck with extra lounge seating. There are also some extra premier member items at the reservation restaurants and spa discounts. If it is your first trip there aren't huge difference between the red and the white. Don't think by what I wrote above you are missing out on anything not being a member. Yes there are some differences I enjoyed on a referral on my 3rd trip, but my first trips with just a red bracelet were just as awesome and I never felt like I was missing anything or getting a diminished experience. Another suggestion I have is to flip the plastic resort bracelets inside-out right after they put them on you(same color on both sides). In my inebriated state I have badly scratched my face twice on the plastic closure on the outside of the band. Flipping it inside out prevents this. There are other rubber band style bracelets people wear. These are not resort related and are affiliated with certain groups or causes. Orange – A member of CancunCare, or you have been on a Boobs Cruise. These are given on the Boobs Cruise, or you can buy them ahead of time via a link on this site. They are used as an identifier of a forum member, and can help break the ice and meet new friends. (my wife wears multiple so she can keep track of all her Boobs cruises(thinks she is cool, but eventually will run out of wrist space). I typically give mine away to people unaware of this site to point them in the direction of the forum for future visits. White w/Red Lips - Indicates a member of the "Life Style". There is also a sister forum related to this site for these extra perverted people Black w/Pink Chinos Cause for Cancer lettering - indicates support for a cancer fund in Cancun that services children and Cancer centers. (Chinos is an entertainer on the Boobs Cruise and is the spokesperson for this Cancer Community. They raise lots of money via this forum, the boobs cruise, and TTR.) …oh yea and he is crazy and I think like everyone knows him. I am sure there are other colors for other groups and things. I just know of these main ones.
Awesome tip about flipping your band! Never thought about that. I've been guilty of nearly gouging out an eye before when wiping sweat at night.
Thanks so much for that reply. That definitely explains it all. Is there a way to just upgrade to the white bracelet?? I love good tequila
No problem for the help. But to answer your question, No you can't just pay to upgrade. As a tequila drinker, I didn't really like the upgraded stuff that much anyway. I just pretty much drank Milagro silver, which is available at all the bars. I think the whiskey drinkers benifiet the most from the premier selections.
Another suggestion for first timers: Put the resort band on your "off" wrist, ie left wrist if your right handed.
Thanks I am a Don Julio drinker, so I hope they have it. Any other advice for the newbies? We are 2 guys coming down in 30's and 40's who just need to get away from daily life for a great weekend. We got a hall pass!!!
Perhaps a better suggestion would be your "off" hand when it come to...er... you know... taking care of the missus
