Wife is packing bikini (thong bottom and full) only and I am taking speedo and thong with river shorts to walk to beach in.
Bathing suits Husband will wear board shorts, and I'll be in pucker bottoms or close to thongs.. no top.. our first trip is in August..
Most men wear board shorts, except the Europeans, and women wear average cut bikinis. We've been to GP several times and haven't seen many women in thongs or topless. Most of the time my wife is the only topless sunbather and she'll only do it on the beach. It really isn't a topless friendly resort, although it happens occasionally on the beach and rarely at the pool so my wife feels pretty self conscious about all the stares and comments. You'll also see a lot of cameras around, something that clothing optional resorts don't allow, and that makes her nervous as well. That having been said, you'll have a good time; it's a neat place and usually lots of fun. The staff is great and most of the guests are friendly. Note: If your wife suns topless you're likely to see other women follow suit, they've just been waiting on someone else to get things started.
I always wear board shorts. But the wife wears anything between a thong and a Brazilian cut bottom. She wears stuff there she'd never wear around home.
Most women wear thongs or scrunch back and no tops. Ang never wore a thong in public before, but wore 3 while were there...nobody really notices as no matter what you wear nobody cares and someone else will likely be wearing less. A couple women wore the open front string bikini, people of course notice, but it was really no big deal surprisingly. I looked, pointed it out to Ang, suggested she get one (unlikely..lol) then moved on. Bring a few thongs, you will surprised how comfortable everyone feels about whatever. Also, most guys wore board shorts, but square cuts and even mesh were no big deal and common enough that they do not look out of place. EDIT- I just noticed this was a Golden Parnassus thread. We were at TTR, but guess the swimwear would be similar at both.
