The house red is dry, and the house white is fairly dry also. Neither are wines that we would buy off the shelf, but are both drinkable for us. You may want to bring a bottle or even a box. The box wine may be a good choice for sweet wine, and travels very well. We usually bring a set of stemless wine glasses with us. Definitely a better choice than drinking wine from a plastic cup. The house red is OK in one of the restaurants and served in a wine glass. It is awful in the bar in a plastic cup.
I was pretty sure that they made the house wine at the resort. Right after the guy gets done cleaning the seaweed off the beach, he goes directly to the back and stomps on some grapes. These then get bottled, aged, and then get served to you at dinner. Steve: "Ahhh fantastic, what vintage is this?" Waiter: "It's a 3pm, extra feet taste today, enjoy!" Steve: "magnificent"
I can drink cheap wine but the crap they serve at TTR is not drinkable. even the upgraded one that you buy is really bad (Doninie) is 8.95 per liter in Canada. next time I'm bringing my own.
They have a wine list with several listings. I have not spent a lot of time looking at it, as they are not cheap. Myself on the other hand am cheap enough to drink tolerable free wine vs spending a lot for something that I am not familiar with.
I remember getting a few bottles of Yellow Tail Shiraz for the table at the Italian when there was a group of us there. I don't recall it being "too" expensive but definitely much more than free. I think the free house red is decent and white is acceptable and always get it with dinner and sometimes with lunch. Also, I like it because it's not watered down or mixed with soft drinks/ice so a few glasses with dinner will get you going.
