Hi all, In the final stages of packing for trip. Just wondering if anyone has any problems using their debit card at the resort? I understand that most pay all inclusive fees at the time of booking, however we booked through RCI and will pay when we arrive. Can't decide if I should buy a pre-paid visa or just use the debit... thoughts?
My recommendation would be not to use your debit card anywhere and especially out of your home country. The information it contains is too close to your personal banking account. I would use a credit card as it it creates a buffer between the place your using it at and your bank account. It also gives you more options if something goes wrong. Just contact the credit cards bank and tell them the dates your traveling and were you are going. With most if not all pre paid cards you have no recourse if something happens. My only debit card is my ATM bank card witch I can turn on and off using a app on my phone and it only goes in my banks ATM's. Does TTR accept PayPal?? T
There are dozens of posts on here about people,s debit card being compromised at the resort in the past. Wether or not its ok now ??? Stick with CC for above reasons , don't have one , ?? get a pre-payed.
