can someone tell me the difference between Desire and Desire pearl ? trying to book for next year july but bit confused !! I need the best action :icon_cool: and by the way we are a couple
Same concept, different locations (though they're fairly close to each other). The Desire Resort Forums have a ton of posts and conversations comparing both of them. However... I think most people generally consider Pearl to have nicer rooms, and not as nice of a beach. The pool(s), hot tub, and property itself are considerably larger than Desire RM. There's debate on which one has better food, entertainment, and night life. Pearl is the more expensive of the two per night. Personally, we like RM better; the smaller size of the property lends itself to a certain intimacy that we really enjoy. D & K
Yes, the pool and hot tub at Pearl are both larger than those at RM, however the physical size of both the Pearl and RM locations are virtually identical. FYI - crowds at Pearl will always be smaller than at RM since Pearl only has 88 rooms compared to 114 rooms at RM
We returned from Desire RM a week ago and have been to pearl twice. If your objective is 'best action' then in our opinion the decision should be rm. As stated above, rm has a smaller pool and smaller jacuzzi than pearl with more people. This results in an environment where everyone is closer together and socialization is naturally easier. People know this and the ones looking for more of a party tend to book rm. There were people visiting rm last week saying pearl was 'dead'. Now in our two trips to pearl it was never 'dead' and we are pretty good at making our own party and socializing. And Pearl definitely has nicer rooms, pool/jacuzzi and overall facilities. So my wife prefers pearl but I prefer rm. Neither is the wrong decision. And a lot depends on who by luck of the draw is going the week you are going. End result, if action is the main objective then Desire rm is the most likely fit. Enjoy!!!
