Yeah my stepfathers mother (stepgrandma???) made "really really good money" when she was working down there..... $400 a month...... Ummmm I am thinking we can't live on that at all. The tourist area is definitely the place to work to make any money though.
We sort of did something like this last time - not the exact same figures, but had a tiny spreadsheet where we figured out approximately how much we spend on the various times of day. Also helped us determine how many 1's, 5's, 10's, 20's, etc. to bring. I'd sort of figure out what you think you're going to spend and add a percentage on top of it (just in case)...whatever you don't spend you can save for your next trip (and trust us, there will be another!)
I think there are a large percentage of guests that don't tip anywhere near that much...but that's OK...everyone is different with what they can afford.
We usually bring $50 in one's, $50 in fives, $100 in tens, and $100 in twenty's. Makes it easy to tip as needed and there are safes in the rooms.
We're going first time as well excited! Any info is appreciated. Thank you poorhouse Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
