So all the resources we have viewed to check on the weather for next week seem to provide bad news. Its showing an 80% chance of rain on 5 of the days of our trip in Cancun.... Can anyone give us an idea of what to expect with the weather there? We were kind of hoping it is like the Tampa area where it may storm it's hind end off for 10-15 minutes and then the sun is right back out which seems to happen regularly there. With all this rain we have been getting in the Midwest, we definitely don't need to see more down there!
Five trips to TTR, every trip has had rain in the forecast. I think it rained on two trips, once for about an hour at around 2am in PatyO's (Still danced our asses off), and another was from like 8am until 1pm... Still sat in the pool drinking lol.
It usually flares up for a short downburst. We just go to lunch at that time. In three trips, we have only have had one day that it lasted a few hours. So we went into the sports bar and had a crazy game of beer pong.
Oh wait.. One trip we did have WICKED bad rain on a Boobs Cruise. Chinos said it was some of the worst we'd ever seen... 2/3 of the group huddled in the cabin of the boat for the ride back from isla. The rest of us were up front getting PELTED by rain partying our asses off!
Unless there is a Tropical Storm/Hurricane headed toward Cancun, don't worry about the weather ruining your vacation, it will not.
Our first trip, last May, had a lot of rain but our 2 trips since then have had great weather. It's in the tropics and on the Caribbean sea, you are likely to see a chance of rain in the forecast most days. But that's just what it is, a chance of rain. It can be really refreshing on a hot afternoon at the sexy pool.
We had a tropical depression slip by once, the Boobs Cruise we were scheduled for was cancelled and that rarely happens. The party huddled under the roof of Diego's was awesome and we made a ton of new friends. I think a few people declared it a hot tub day and gravitated to guests who had a hot tub suite. A bad day in Cancun beats a great day at work anytime
forecasts are crap there. Worse than here in Houston. Dont let it worry you. Rain was likely on our last trip every day of the trip. I never saw any
