We never have a problem holding peoples belongings and did it many times while we're there this past trip. We did see a chair that was held for 2 weeks and never used which is sad. My husband does get up early to save us two chairs that we used every single day. The biggest complaint is people saving chairs and not using them versus chair saving. Very rarely do people complain when someone gets their butt out of bed early to save a chair that they actually use. My biggest issue is the stealing this past trip. I did suggest to others to put their stuff away. Even though it happened to us I would feel horrible if it happened to others and I didn't warn them. Kindness really does go a long way...
2 weeks is ridiculous...that is not saving a chair, that is abandoning your stuff. Even after a day, that stuff should go to lost and found.:deadhorse: Sounds like you do it right (we too like to enjoy lounging on a chair when on vacation) and will use them if we can get one. An hour of no use and it can be shared...several hours of no use and you forfeit the chair, if I was making the rules. Sorry your stuff was stolen!
The shirts were on our chairs and another girl had her bathing suit top stolen which was a wicked weasel. She said another girl has hers taken as well. Someone is just taking things from people chairs with no regards to others . Bottom line people are stealing. TTR needs to eliminate the riff-raff...ya good luck on that. I went to security who said they don't pull shirts off the chairs. If they did that they would have a truck load of them.
Then people can just go down there to have their stuff stolen as well! It doesn't matter if it's chair saving or not it's about people stealing!! We initially thought someone moved our shirts which is fine if there are people who want to sit together I got that. But to steal...come on... That is some low crap. Psst...If I wanted to sit at the beach we would do that but we choose not to....just saying!!
This makes me not even want to visit the Sexy pool and I'm a Newbie! My husband is very fair skinned and needs shade he burns never tans.. I have a heart condition and get over heated easily. I sincerely hope there will be chairs in Sept or you prob won't see us just sayin
No worries, you do what is best for you and your husband. If that means getting early up to save the umbrella & chairs to enhance your TTR experience then do so. I wouldn't let any of the chair saving smack ruin your vacation. Besides the sexy pool is where all the action is. Enjoy your vacation.
We just don't get the chair game. It's vacation...if a chair is available, great. If not, we go to the beach. But I digress because this thread is about theft.
