LeeAnn & Gary, if your shirts were actually stolen and not just moved, that's inexcusable. Sorry to hear that. Meanwhile: Love that!
Some people need chairs due to medical reasons , or need one in the shade due to intolerance to the sun, so their not doing TTR ''wrong'' ,,there just adjusting so they can be there and party . So their forced into playing the game because people put stuff on chairs after Patio,s and don't show up till 1 pm.,,, lots of them ,, thats why some are getting pissed off and going around and stealing or moving shirts, straps, towels.I can see it happening more and more It happened in April, caused a lot of ticked off people,,,, I was sitting in one of about 12 chairs that had their stuff all moved to one of the chairs ( during the night) and I was accused of stealing the chair,, it worked out in the end, but sucks.
When we were there last week, a couple left their Tshirts on the beds for the 2 weeks they were there and still there a week after they left and the beds were still left unused. I never seen that before, staff should be removing all Tshirts after pool closes and start the bed reserving from scratch every morning. And what kind of desperate person would steal Tshirts that been on beds all week.
Your comment is exactly what excuses the persons for doing that crap .( or was that sarcasm? ) Bring back the 6am rule,, wasn't perfect but was a hell of a lot better then what goes on now.
Shouldn't be able to reserve chairs before the pool opens. It is one thing to put your stuff on a chair on the way breakfast, but not very considerate to put your stuff on a chair on your way to bed. At least not if you are planning to go to sleep....
Got it...just poses the question as to how long and when they were left on the chairs. Never ok to steal of course. Example...if I am sitting there and see someone near me leave there stuff on a chair, then some random person comes up and messes with it, I will likely strike up a conversation to get the scoop and look out/protect the persons stuff. On the other hand...if someone leaves there stuff from the night before or for hours unattended, I will have no idea as to who left it and will assume it belongs to the person who is taking it, so no reason to ask them anything. Don't get me wrong...sucks your stuff got stolen, but this is why the chair saving became a sub-topic.
Seriously. No one should steal someone's personal property. In my opinion it makes it worse that they may of been doing it to support some agenda on chair saving. Much easier to just play the game if the chair matters to you OR ignore if it doesn't than to turn into an angry vacationer that isn't representing what TTR is supposed to be about.
