We are rolling into TTR June 14-19 and booked our air/hotel package a couple of months ago. With our trip insurance they will price match if the rates go down on the total package as long as the flights and room style are the same. We have saved $550 over the past week with prices getting cut at TTR. If anyone else has the same type of price match I would be checking it out to see if you can save some cash.
We cashed in ounce too.\ But had a lot of fine print ,, ie 50$ rebate charge PP ,, only one claim ( so if it goes down after you claim, SOL),, and up to 30 days before departure. So it is good but depending on companies has limitations . Congrats on your Bonus 550
I booked ours through travelocity. What do you mean? You mean if the rate goes down on their site you have been able to get a rebate?
I just ran a price check on my Travelocity and for the exact same flight times, etc it is currently $405 more for us two than when I booked about a month ago.
We booked through cheap tickets, its 560 more now, the air fare went from 1078 to 1558, so thats most of it.
Maybe I over paid to start with! LOL. I always shop all the sites to get the cheapest flights and TTR using only Delta flights. Then contact Delta Vacations and they will match any price as long as it is Delta flights. Then we purchase the Travel Protection Plus which will give us our money back if the trip price goes down. It has worked out great for us this time. I'll buy a round for everyone at the Sexy Pool!
Who did you book your trip insurance through? I need to look into that. Usually as a rule of thumb I don't keep checking so that I won't get pissed if the price drops. I bought it at a price I was willing to pay so I figure that's good enough. If I could get a deal though....
