Wifi was terrible when we were there last week or so. Was by far the worst since they have had it. Like Frank said, really only had signal at the lobby. We get tired of the music pretty quick and like to listen to tune in radio etc on our speaker. Never worked the whole week!!! I would be really pissed if I paid for it!!!

Yep and text messaging is free as well. Just need to call into customer care *2, press 5 then I think it's 3 and have them enable your line(s). The data is unlimited but is capped at 2G speed. But hey it's free!

The Sprint plan is called the IVR. International Value Roaming. Also for $25/week you can have the speed un-throttled to the 3G or 4G of the local carrier's tower and it also unlimited data...if ya need faster than 2G speed while on vacation for whatever reason.

We bought the wifi for a week for $35 on my tablet so I could do my online school and the first night it worked fine we used it for about 15mins before going out to PatyO's.. the next day I tried to log-on to do my homework and it said I needed to pay again.. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with their internet support people and they couldnt get the internet to stay on my tablet for over 15 - 20mins at a time before it would tell me I had to pay again.. I ended up getting a refund for it and having to use the wifi off the resort to do my homework and take a test that needed to be done.. I was crying in the lobby because this was my first online course ever taking and it was so frustrating. I'm not sure how the little bar down the beach can figure out wifi and the big resort cant... even the people I spoke with that didnt have my issue said it went on and off all the time. The beach bar wifi never once lost signal and was great, all we had to do was take the walk and buy a drink to use it..

Kudos to you for being able to do online tests WHILE at Temptation. I don't think I'd be able to be so disciplined with all that distraction.

lol I didnt think it was going to be as tough to get away and study as it was.. our room was right outside the sexy pool ground floor. I sat on our patio and tried to do homework while wishing I was still at the pool.. I did get quite a bit done though while there just not as much as I should have..

I used telecom square for our trip (15-24 May 15). Worked great! An occasional reboot needed but other than that I always had service. I even used it on our trip out to Chichen Itza. Worked all the way out and back! Helped to kill the time during the ride and I was able to share it with 4 others as well. Great way to stay connected. I kept it in a bag or my pocket when we were out and about. No issues. Easy set up had it working within 5 mins of being in the USA transfer van.

Bringing this back. What do you guys think about using Telecom vs wifi at the resort?
