From personal experience, I took my Wife on the 'Moonlit Dinner on the Beach' at TTR for our 1 year Anniversary. I bboked through Jeanette on Guest Services, its 3 x courses. Costs around $165 and to me, worth every penny, you get a private cabanna on the beach over by the Seafood Restaurant, and they put a red carpet down for you to walk to the cabanna. Also lots of tiki candles etc. You have a private waiter service to serve champagne etc. Food was awesome, they really spoilt us with lobster and steaks etc! Very romantic!
Yes, you can do it all in one day and still make it back to PatyO's. And if you have a car, she can bring a bag and clean up at the beach house on Akumal so she doesn't have to go to dinner all salty. I can't speak for every girl, but IMO dinner on the beach is nice and all, but a chance to so some things you can do only in Mexico is more exciting.
Well, I am not sure about us having a car, but I was going to bring our dry bag so we can bring a change of clothes. Is there a safe place to store our belongings while snorkeling? I'd hate to have to attach the dry bag to me while snorkeling, but I will if I have to. And what's this beach house you speak of? I think combining the beach (something not at home) and dinner in a cave restaurant (Alux and not at home) is a slam dunk! The bonus/extra points come at the end of the trip with buying her some new jewelry in Playa del Carmen.
I'd like to thank everyone(including the men) for their responses. I have reserved a Jeep Wrangler at La Isla mall from Avis $54(only time I have ever used the benefit of working advantage program from work). Contacted the Akumal Dive Shop(which has lockers and equipment for rent{2ppl+locker=$25}. Made a reservation at Alux cave restaurant (private area with roses and candles add $30). I am all set. I hope she is ready for this (it's all a secret at this point). Sunday is gonna be awesome!!! Now I just need the next 21 days to get on by!

Well if she's good, and nice to me, we might do that too on another night while we are there!:aktion031: From the research I have done on these places, it looks like it's worth every peso! Plus, if I put out such an effort to make a nice day/evening for her, hopefully that will ease any concerns she has about our trip to the sexy resort, and she'll loosen up and have a good time.
