Taxi from and to airport

Hi friends

this is I believe visit number number 10 but this is the first time we booked our own air fare and hotel leaving us to organise our transportation. I see we can book from the Temptation site or via us transfer on CCC. Our question anyone can let us know pro and con to simply walk up to a taxi and get to the hotel.

Looking for ball park $ per person or for the couple and if anyone had bad experience doing this. Do we need to negotiate with the driver or is it set price?

This is our first ever trip to TTR or cancun for that matter. We booked through USA Transfers and it was $55 round trip. This is about $40 cheaper than what we pay through transcabo for round trip transportation when we go there so we felt it was a steal. Note: its $55 for the both of us total and its our own private transport and not a shuttle service.

 

USA Transfers is first class all the way. $55 round trip per vehicle.

 

Steve does not recommend taxis, at the airport. I would say to USA the mentioned reference. If you use a taxi, make sure if you have the deal sealed, lol.

Don't waste your time with a taxi. Book with USA Transfers and you will have no worries

 

Nothing more to add then to say I agree... USA Transfers.. Used 4 times, and have the next one booked.

 

I was told a taxi would be about $35-40 each way. Just in case you wanted to know.

BTW, weren't you guys just there in April?! We're so envious!!

 

Triple agree USA Transfers is all we use now, our virgin trip we used a shared shuttle..... never again!!!!!

We DO NOT use taxi's. You may not always get the same price and many other reasons. Steve does not recommend Taxis and we take Steve's advice on many things seriously. Bob & I use All Do Tours, here is their link. All Do Tours – Cancun, Mexico We are extremely satisfied with their service, friendly staff. Last trip, we had issues with our flight and customs. We were two hours late and were the last ones being picked up. They were still waiting for us outside the airport. As RCI Members, they charge us $35.00 USD for 1 persons to 6 persons in our group. You will be greeted with a sign as soon as you walk out and be taken excellent care of until you arrive at TTR. I believe they charge $50.00 USD for non-members. Either way, they are amazing.
