Soooo glad you asked this!!! We're going for our first time June 1-7 & while we both love to have fun, I was apprehensive about what would go on & if we'd be pressured into participating. Hubbie is more outgoing than I am but much like your wife, a few drinks in me makes a huge difference! If our dates coincide, hope to meet you guys there! 9 days & counting!! YAY!
We're newbs too and I am a little concerned about my wife as well. I figured it can't be worse than our Hedo experience last year. Of course she has a preconceived notion that TTR is just like hedo with dress code restrictions. I am pretty confident that TTR will be more our speed, thanks to all the wonderful people who take the time to post on here to let us newbies how it really is there. Thanks again to all you veterans for your advice!
When I booked our first trip, my wife gave an apprehensive approval. She had gone topless on the beach at another resort and didn't think it would be a big deal, but she was worried about the perceived party aspect of the resort. We're about to go on our third trip in six weeks, five days and 21 hours (not that we're counting) and she is as excited as I am. We usually spend most of our time at the Sexy Pool but we will go chill at the beach, too. As for the Quiet Pool, I appreciate it because it was right outside our room last year and helped me sleep off the Second Day Curse.
When are you guys there? Hopefully it will coincide! Thanks for the responses...I'm feeling much better about it!
When it's been a big night, the sexy pool is too much for me. I love sitting on the beach to relax. The quiet pool also gets a bad reputation but I think for chatting and making friends it's still great! Some don't like it because they don't heat it but I don't mind so much. I've had many a fun day at the quiet pool.
we enjoyed the sexy pool and did not want to miss any of the action but we would walk on the beach in the morning and around 3pm we would go back to the ocean to take some pics. Then back to the sexy pool.
We are going to mix it up between the beach and the sexy pool, prob wont bother with the quiet pool, as we are not really pool people, but we want to spend sometime in each others company as well.
i remember the last time i was there and was talking to a guy who had just came in and was his 1st time and he was voicing the same concerns that his wife had and as we sat at the bar talking about it his wife came up hands in the air jumping up and down toppless an saying she just let some girl lick whip cream off them. he just looked at me with a big smile and said oh this is going to be a good week. So i wouldn't worry too much just let it happen and make friends and go with the flow
This is Dave's wife... I don't usually post but here goes I am about as shy and conservative as they come (until you get a couple drinks in me), agreed to this trip only because it seemed so important to my husband...I was extremely nervous about the whole thing and the more he talked it up the more nervous I got... our trip was THE BEST TIME I have had in my life! I should say that I went straight from high school to college to married with kids by my early 20's... our kids are now old enough that we can take these adult only trips without the hassle of babysitters etc. This place was just plain FUN, whether you go topless or not, just the atmosphere and happy crowd, I didn't want to leave the sexy pool and I'm typically a beach/ocean person (give me a chair on the beach and a good book, I'm set for the week). Well, I will have plenty of quiet beach time on our family vaca next month with the kids... And as for alone time with Dave... We spent plenty of quality alone time on this trip- in the mornings (breakfast and then sitting by the pool before it got crazy and crowded) and mostly had dinner alone together- and yes we took a walk on the beach most days for an hour or so. We felt closer than ever on this trip and it was great to just leave the world behind, forget about all the stuff going on at home and just live in the moment! I don't think I will want to go anywhere else now (although we decided a couple of days at a boring resort at the end of the trip will be needed in the future- we were thoroughly exhausted when we got home!). I should also mention we really didn't participate in much at the sexy pool, just hanging out with drinks in the water chatting with friends and people watching... It was really hard to leave to go do anything else (I would highly recommend the beach massages though, totally worth it!). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
