Its a shame cause some people need them due to health issues or need an umbrella' ed chair due to sun stroke,, and their ''saved''. Last April I just moved stufff that was unattended for a few hours. One of those persons , turns out had 2 sun chairs and 2 shade chairs saved , .''. just in case they needed them''. I did not feel bad for taking there chairs. Then one day I got accused of stealing someone chair... they says '' we put our savers ( wrap) on the chairs last night at 2 am.'',, they were not there at 12 when they showed up,, go figure. There is also a rumor some one goes out at 4am and pees on all the towels ,lol
I have lung cancer so I need one to take a break in from time to time, we dont get to ours until after we have breakfast, we might place our shirts on them before we go in for breakfast, but we dont go out at 4 or 6 am like i have heard some do. For those that need 1 or 4 "just in case" then those are the ones that create a problem and kinda force others to hold theirs that actually use them.
My apologies,didnt mean to create a firestorm, had I known it was such a hot button issue would have never brought it up, clearly people are divided on the issue. majority of people we met or got to know always offered to share their chairs. a couple of time we were out of the pool and sitting beside friends on chairs that were not ours, the "owners" people came up and there were no issues at all. we would offer to move and not once did they care. we would start talking about their tshirts or something and the next day there were offering to share the chairs with us. we made sure to not get their towels wet or mess iwth their things... it is pretty laid back for the most part and no one really cares too much as long as you are respectful. like scubasteve said most people are in the pool majority of the time so just enjoy things and don't worry about the chairs... maybe next trip i will get 60 tshrits made up and claim 60 chairs just for myself! lol i will move to a different chair every minute! lol
Last February, people were going out at midnight, 2 am to reserve chairs. It used to be as long as you went out by 8 am, you could get a couple reserved. Lots of premiere members do not like to use the chairs in their special area. You can tell by the white towels on the "commoner's" chairs The craziest was people that were putting yellow caution tape over groups of 8-10 chairs. Just like Donald said, they never were used most of the day. We reserve two when we are going to be in chairs in the morning, but on days where we know we will be sleeping in late, or going to town or Boobs Cruise we do not reserve a chair. Big groups that went on Cruises last February still reserved chairs. They were not going to be back to pool till 5 pm! We also invite people to sit on our chairs if they need to rest or place their stuff there. Great way to meet new friends and have an excuse for more shots! Ah, the chair topic has returned again!!!
Nothing to apologize about at all. Making shirts and saving a chair is no problem. Taking it to the extreme(saving multiple in various locations) and never using them is the issue. If I saw a chair with a saver and it was related to CancunCares, then that we be the chair I would be likely to "borrow" if needed. Can't see anyone from this site getting mad at someone else from this site for using their chair (unless the were being a D-bag about it)
Thanks Steve, Our hope is people see our shirts and stop and say hello. That's why we posted them here so people from CancunCare could recognize them and us. We would offer the use of our chairs to anyone that asked. I also dont get saving multiple seats around the pool either. We enjoy time both in and out of the pool and bar area.
