its our 1st time in October, and from what I have read, I would try to keep the aircon off, I don't like aircon anyway, so not much of a problem for me. Don't let worrying about this spoil your holiday.
I'm not a germaphobe, but I love hand gel, since we travelled around India and been on quite a few cruises, I always have a bottle in my bag, just think what you have touched (money, doors, glasses etc) before you eat that burger!
The rooms are very humid, put towels down to walk on, the tile floors get very slick, take a can or 2 of travel Lysol and spray in the ac inlet vent.
Theme nights are what makes TTR so special, I love to see all the thought and creativity that go into some of the outfits.
