Hey all we've been members on the site for about a year now just kind of lingering, had a trip planned last year then some unexpected issues de-railed that trip. Hoping end of June to early July we are headed out to Temptation for our first time!!! One thing I have been wondering is what is the average age at the Resort? My wife and I are in our mid-20's but we have been married 6 years (I know what were we thinking) and have 2 kids (again what we we thinking). We have never had a honoeymoon or a vacation together, so Temptation seemed like the perfect spot to pop our cherry. It seems like we will be on the younger end of the guest list. Are there going to be couples our age there? Not that we mind at all being the youngest or partying with older couples, just kind of curious about it. Also, where the heck can we find the theme nights on CCC? Thank you in advance!
Congrats on your plans. Yes you will on the younger end but not the only 20's. You will be surprised how young many couples in their 40's or older, like us, feel and act. You will have a great time. Book your trip and enjoy it. Sounds like you all deserve it.
We don't care if we are partying with people our parents age. We are on vacation at "adult spring break" we are going to enjoy ourselves no matter what! I think my wife is nervous about us being accepted by others there, parties are made by the friends you make and hang out with.
No worries! You'll find people of all ages at temptations, but it doesn't seem to matter there. The normal division into groups by ages one usually finds in ordinary social situations quickly fades away at TTR. It's one of the things that makes the place special. We've found people to enjoy of all ages, and you'll come to know them for who they are, and not necessarily defined by their age or how they look. It's actually refreshing, relaxing, and quite wonderful. The love for partying seems to know no age limits!
Jnine, that seems to be the consensus I have gathered from just reading the forum and the Facebook page, I just wanted to hear it first-hand. Also Central Michigan? I grew up up 20 miles south of Grand Rapids and went to Eastern Michigan for a bit.
Age just doesn't seem to matter much at TTR. The only time I have noticed it was in the spring when there were a lot of spring breakers there. They didn't want to mix much with anyone older. I guess they were still believing they were young and hot and nobody else had ever been young and hot! Since you are married and have kids, I'm guessing that life has already taught you far too many lessons to think that way! ;-) I can't imagine you not having a blast! I would say that you are at a stage of life where you will really appreciate this place!!
Wild1s thank you for the theme night answer, I finally found it. Printing it now so we don't lose it again haha. Yea we are definately not of the young and hot mindset anymore. We proudly rock the "dadbod" and "mombod"! We will really appreciate any vacation at this point, but we are both still young and like to party so why not go to the party place instead of trying to force it at another resort.
We went for the first time in July 2014 and are preparing to go again this July (10-20). Had the time of our lives! I think age was one of the last things on our minds while we were down there. Sounds like you already don't worry about it either though. And I don't think anyone gave two craps we were in our late twenties. Age is just a number to me. I don't care if I'm partying with a 21 year old or a 51 year old. As long as you're fun, it doesn't matter. Best vacation of my life, made us repeaters for sure!
We are a young 50s' couple. One of the many great things about TTR is the diversity; age, body type, place of origin, its all of what makes TTR so special. If your willing to make friends, then young or old wont matter.
