It DOES suck! My husband works in the beer industry, so telling people where we go earns earns him "points." I'm jealous! However, I'm a teacher. I agree...I bet a bunch of my colleagues are more fun than they'd ever let on. But there are a lot of judgmental, prissy types. Inside I'm thinking, "You are a boring twit, and I pity you," but outside I have to be :angel1:
I absolutely don't view it as living a lie....it goes to fundamental differences in views of privacy. My time is mine...I do not have to share any details unless I choose...to make life simple it's easiest to skirt the issue. I actually don't care what folks think ....what I don't feel like doing is dealing with their Perception of what TTR is...too much wasted energy...normally if folks react with the big OOOOOHHHHH.... They are normally quick to judge and closed minded. at the beginning...I tried to explain TTR to anyone who wanted to listen...in every case they said something like " that's not something we would be interested in" ...in a tone of voice you knew you had been judged and found morally suspect. ...finally...with Facebook etc...I don't need my kids looking at me sideways .and judging me buy what others may have posted!!! ..in a few years when they are ready...I will send them...in the meantime TTR is our private time. We still scratch our head...we can't think of any couple we know we would bring....only 1 half would enjoy it So...for now ...its up to them to find TTR on their own
Imagine being a young fit female with a team of subordinates that are all blue collar (tasteless) men over the age of 40. Needless to say, this could give the wrong impression to a team that you worked very hard to earn their professional respect.
It probably was better when we told people we went to Blue Bay Getaway. It was the same fun place but these goof ball names Desire Secrets Temptation probably make it worse to tell your stick up the ass friends. We always have so much fun and story's I'd guess a dozen people have vacationed here on our testimonial and many more are...tempted.
Last week I broke down and told a conservative friend who was really pressing me for the name since we've gone every year for 5-years. LOL...evasion tactics only work so long. He actually looked it up and then we had a somewhat awkward conversation later. The good news is...he'll never bring it up again and we're still friends!!
I tell everyone, including my Mom. Only those that are close minded seem to make a face and I simply reply that its not a resort for everyone and those that go and enjoy life are much happier people than those want to pass judgement on others. They either open their minds or close their mouths.
Perfect Cover - The Ocean Spa Hotel - Cancun. It is right next door to Temptation. So even if you happen to get the one person on the plane that is actually going to that place, you can still share a van and just walk next door. Ocean Spa Hotel – Cancun – Ocean Spa Cancun – All Inclusive Specials
I agree with Boy & Girl.....I'm in the exact same boat at work (I thought I was the only young, fit female with a team of subordinates that are all blue collar, tasteless men over the age of 40). :icon_razz: It's the one place I can't say "Temptations". Not because of the name, or even that it's topless....more because someone will look it up and see all the crazy reviews. Sigh. However, I do not hold anything back amongst our friends or family. They all know, behind my weekday suits I'm covered in tattoos, have a dirty mind, and am all about the shananigans. :aktion031:
