We've been to the resort 8 times, but last week I found a new favorite for lunch: go to the grill at the buffet, and have her make you a steak (that they use for the tacos), cut it up, and grill it with peppers and onions. Ask her to top it with cheese and put it on a bun. Then leave her a tip. Damn good Cheese Steak Sandwich.

We have found the food to be wonderful. I am a VERY picky eater, me and veggies dont get along unless they are potatoes and we love the fact that at every restaurant there are plenty of choices for both her and I. The food might be a bit on the bland side, but it has to be and there are plenty of choices to spicy it up if you Desire. Overall we are VERY impressed with both the choice and quality of the food.

No clue what RPLA is, but I'd say the food at TTR is at least as good as what my wife & I had at Cancun Palace and the Cozumel Palace on a day trip. Probably better than what we had at Cancun Palace now that I really thihnk about it.

The buffet is all right, but we prefer to hit the actual sit-down for lunch at TTR, there always seems to be plenty of room and the service is plenty fast enough.

The food is ok. We don't go for the food. This is our third trip in a row. You won't find a better party though.

The breakfast buffet isn't bad. They have enough of a variety that everyone should be able to find something.

Beyond breakfast, I've never been overly impressed with the buffet.

I like Margarita's for lunch (lots of choices and they'll let you get a to-go plate if you want) and then make reservations for dinner or hit Margarita's (a.k.a. Tex Mex) again. The mistake I made in the past was assuming that you could only make reservations for the restaurants on the day of the evening you wanted to eat there. That is incorrect. Call to make reservations for the restaurants for your whole trip the day you arrive at TTR. Otherwise you can always stop by the restaurant you want to try and see if they happen to have room for you, but don't count on that working every time.

If all else fails, drink your meals. :)

Breakfast: Lots of fresh fruit options and fresh made omelets. They have great pastries too. The other hot items on the buffet are just like the ones you would find at all buffets. Personally I couldn't get excited about them as pancakes etc that have been sitting for even 10 minutes all taste kinda soggy.

Lunch: They will always grill up some fresh chicken/flank steak/fish for you at the buffet. There are lots of other options including a great ice cream selection (it is sooo much better than what is available in the USA). Margaritas will make you a fresh thin crust pizza and you can order chicken stir fry/chicken sandwich etc freshly made that will be a bit bland but fresh.

Dinner: I cannot get excited about the buffet at dinner and only land there if we don't have time for anything else. It's no better than an Old Country Buffet but there are plenty of options for you. The service at the 4 sit down restaurants is amazing. They have great desserts and I would say all the food is better than what I can get at an Olive Garden or Bonefish but not at the the level of the top notch local steakhouses etc that I have here.

Late Night: The burgers are soooo good and sooo bad at the same time. This is a 4am drunk burger here.... not some fresh grind prime angus beef so don't get all caught up on it. At 4am I never hear complaints and if you are super hungry just go get breakfast in a couple hours.

Summary: I really like the food here. I find that there are plenty of options for both a healthy eater and a steak & potatoes person. The only person who will struggle with options is a vegetarian who will find plenty to eat but not a ton of protein options. For an average person who goes out to chain restaurants you will find the food really good. Anyone who expects a dinner that would cost you $200+ at home to be included in an all inclusive where you aren't even paying that rate for the entire day of drinking/eating and sleeping probably needs to think twice about their expectations.

Boy & Girl really likes a fancy burger too so if they will eat it you know it's good.

We always have liked the food there. You find what you like at all the places and it's pretty legit. We try to get a reservation most nights or will do seafood if we were lazy and didn't set one up. The steak and shrimp combo there is nice (though they moved it to premier only a while back).

The creme brulee at the Italian is not to be missed. Italian is by far our favorite there, lots of good things on the menu.

We usually skip the buffet at dinner but did on this last trip stumble in once and were shown their spanish pork which was actually pretty great. Big cured one you slice off, makes an amazing sandwich.

To be honest, Temptations was my 1st experience of an All Inclusive resort, and I was overall really pleased. My favourite hands down is the Italian, the service is second to none, the food is outstanding and the sexy coffee is a show in itself!! The Asian is great too, but I find there isnt all that much on the menu! Margaritas have a much better lunch menu than a day menu imho, the wings and pizas at lunch are the bomb! The 'Seafood Restaurant'...meh...Could taker it or leave it, again found the menu to be very simple, and they removed the surf and turf for Premier Members only where as year before last it was on ther standard menu (that really bugged me!)

The buffet has a great breakfast selection, i think there is something for EVERYONE! Lunch and Dinner, it's great for convenience or a quick bite but I could take it or leave it. Last year we went for 2 weeks and I found it to be quite repetative. Never the less, the food is still tasty!

On our last trip, this past March, we went to the buffet for practically every meal and loved everything - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Always different items and the food was tasty and fresh. It won't be the best meal you've ever had, but it's still very good. My husband and I avoided the Asian, Italian, etc because we didn't feel like making reservations. When we went in 2014, we made reservations (to the Asian) and ended up missing the amazing Burlesque show.

And I agree with a previous poster about the green juice (at the buffet). It's only available breakfast time but it's so good! It's like celery, lime, spinach + pineapple. It was my favorite non-alcoholic drink there!
