Anyone here able to offer any feedback on T Mobiles international service in Cancun? We recently switched to them to try out their unlimited international service seeing how we frequent Mexico every year and are curious as to what to expect. All the threads we found about cell service down there are pretty dated. We're hoping it's decent as it sounds like wifi service is t free at TTR and its spotty if purchased.

Data is a little slow but functional. Texting and calls worked very well. Always had coverage no matter where we were in Cancun, even on Isla Mujeres. Love T-Mobile! WiFi at the resort however is not free. They lowered the price last year. I have used it several times. It has always worked well for me. Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback! Just out of curiosity, what do they charge now for wifi service? We like to be able to "FaceTime" with our son back home a few times while we are out of the country. Not sure if data service will be fast enough to handle it.

Yea their free international data isn't fast enough for FaceTime but is sufficient for email, Facebook, etc. They do sell GBs of high speed data but it's a little pricey.

Don't remember exactly what the Wi-Fi costs, but I think it was around $30 or $40 for the week.
