Last trip we checked in...room wasn't ready yet so we flew down the hall past the gift shop on the way to grab some lunch, trying to avoid the time share desks. The Premier lady must have been pretty nimble in her 5"stilettos, because she caught us ten steps outside the door and chastised us for avoiding her. She assured us she wasn't looking to give us a sales pitch (yeah, right), she only wanted to make sure we knew how to make reservations for dinner. I assured her that we'd been there many times and didn't need a reservation tutorial. She then told me the reservation process had changed...I told her I was fully aware of that. She then asked "Well, what number do you dial for reservations, then?" I said I was certain there would be something in the room that would tell me that. She said there wasn't (not true) so I'd need to follow her back to her desk so she could write the number down for me. I smiled and walked away. Nice try.
So if I have a referral week available... its actually going to cost me about $76 more than my Alpharooms deal, but I like the upgraded booze ( vodka and whisky).. would like to have one lobster meal with the mrs.. and the idea of an ocean view room (although I honestly don't mind the Patio Rooms that have patios that open towards the sexy pool, Easy dinner reservations, and seating at the beach or pool without having to get up at the crack of dawn. If I can get the timeshare hell done in 2hrs over breakfast on our first day 9day/night staty, will it be worth it? Thanks for honest opinions!!
For 76$ more for the stay , its worth it. ( even considering the time share pitch). On a referral you get the room category you pay for (-25%) you don't automatically get the Sexy pool view rooms, like members do ( if available)
Chris and Jennifer, if you want the better booze and the lobster dinner and possibly the upgraded ocean view room then as Donald said, it's certainly worth the $76. Premiere office staff will help make your dinner reservations if you ask. Chairs? Same scenario as previously.....they don't save chairs (most cases). I just read through this and saw that Steve commented on the $75 refund for the Boobs Cruise. I know for a fact that a couple we were just with (bought a membership) had to turn in their Boobs Cruise bracelet and they gave them $75. You also get discounts from the spa, gift shop, wine etc. Contact me if you would like more information.
2nd year for us ... skip the timeshare last year ( got the CCC bracelets before leaving home -thanks Steve ) - and told them politely we went thru the pitch the year before and we would not be buying...tip the guy a couple of dollars and went on our way... no problems... We have purchase our R/T TTR packages for approx $1,100.00 each (2 of us, from Memphis to Cancun) both trips , we go in late August and early September. Not sure how much a timeshare could save us. Really don't care about prime meals and liquors. Might enjoy the seating at the sexy pool and Paty O , but other than that , cannot see the advantage. Now if a timeshare could save hard cold cash on each trip , then I might be willing to look into it. But I think it will be a long break-even time period before it would make it worth while for us ... any advise ? just saying...
I know you have to sit thru the sales pitch when you go on a referral week, but do you have to go thru the whole tour and everything? We have been there before and do not need a tour of the property.
