So I will be there from the 4th to the 8th. My dad set the trip up for me for my birthday which is the 6th and to make up for several years of terrible birthdays due to my now ex wife. Will be just me but by the sounds of things quite enjoyable!
Hey all My daughter who is 15 now and has Cerebral Palsy is such an inspiration she want to help me at work raise money for children's miracle network and Sick kids hospital. She had double hip surgery two years ago and had an 8 week hospital stay. Her goal is to raise $500 and I have to get a hello kitty tattoo and if she hits $1000 I have to get two of them and they have to be in a place that shows. Hey everyone, so the more i read these forums the more "i hate single men here", "im anti single guy", "i wish all the single guys would go somewhere else" stuff i see. Im not a creep coming down there with any expectations other than to have fun, meet fun people and enjoy some sun & sand. I kind of at a point that im wondering if i should call my dad and have him cancel the reservation. I dont want to spend my birthday feeling like a social pariah just because im probably coming down there single if my one close friends cant get herself off work. my dad loves TTR and goes there frequently but has always brought one of his "friends" with him. Is it really as bad as its sounding? I mean am i just going to be automatically hated and avoided because im single?
I think as long as you are respectful and just looking to have fun, you should be fine....those comments are probably in regards to the guys who go to TTR expecting it to be hook up heaven and not being respectful to the women and couples there.
Well said TigDog. Just show up, have fun, and be cool about it all. Obviously you'll want to make friends and may need to open the conversation but I'm sure you'll have a great time. Just bring LOTS of glow necklaces to PattyO's and you'll be a hit!!:rainfro:
