Yes...we were there 4/27-5/4....I'm still hurting from it....I was blaming the 3am cheeseburgers from pattyO's...this sucks
Here is what i did notice.... TTR has implimented a complete food handling program...date labels on all the bottles on the table...the eggs at the buffet are now refrigerated...all coolers are labeled with acceptale temperature ranges and the chefs actually come out and check the temps on the buffet regularly. ...even the ingredients in the omlete station are sitting on ice They do a hell of a job keeping the sexy pool from becoming a sesspool everyday by 5pm ....I watched the bartenders stop and wash glasses using a set protocol....even when there were busy and lined up. The thing that gets to me personally ...every trip..by day 6 or 7 is an upper chest/respiratory issue ....from the damn air conditioning running full tilt and never shutting off...and circulating the same dank mold ridden air (its Mexico...dark places and moisture don't mix...well unless you are a female.... lol) Anyway..until they improve the airhandling and actually handle the load properly...this will never be fixed..... yes I have tried most of the suggested methods and could really use to new ideas here!!!...but damn I hate not being able to breath and talk properly....i think the rest of our group enjoys my silence however. Lower GI issues ... only happend to me once ... bad pork dish in Asian ...two years ago... have the same dish every year since with no issues. I will say that the number of folks doing body shots and consuming the pool water by the end of the day might be something to look at .... I just offsett that by consuming ocean water the same way!! I think after all is said and done... its probablyt a combination of long hours, a wide mixture of food and booze....and mostly lack of enought water. oh yeah ...don't load up on tons of fresh fruit particulary coconut (think drinks here) unless you are used to it! ...and watch the coffee ...its a great way to give yourself a "royal flush" in about 2 hours if you need it. My reipe for GI success .... start the day with at least 3 drinks to get the tingle going ...then alternate 1 mixed drink with 1 ice and water I eat pretty much everywhere...
Here's a new idea for the air in the hotel room and one that we finally did after 8 trips all with the respiratory issue. We brought down an air purifier. Got it off Amazon. It was a life saver. Absolutely zero issues. We just plugged it in right on the nightstand and left it to do it's magic.
I may have to try that. Surprised im even going back after i got that respiratory illness last year when we went. Sick as hell. Cant wait till they do an overhaul of the air system.
what model?! (I may have to eject a few of the wife's bathing suits and substitute thongs to make room for this!)
