Hope everything went well Steve. Of course I would love to see you but your health comes first and you need to take care of yourself. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Not good news I'm afraid. Some will know I suffer from blocked arteries in my legs which has led to a nasty leg ulcer. Today's procedure was to further investigate the blockages and try to improve blood flow to my lower legs by inserting stents etc Unfortunately the blockages are far too extensive for anything to be done. That's the same as i was told in the UK 2 years ago. A lot of pain and $25,000 lighter I'm not feeling too good right now. Only option is a bypass but is unlikely to last much longer than a year or two if it is successful at all and I dread to think how much it will cost.
Oh Steve, that's not great news. You've been suffering enough already. Keep the faith buddy and hopefully the doc's will come up with something for you. Our thoughts are with you..... P & V xxx
Thinking of you Steve..... hope they get something figured out so you are not in so much pain. Our prayers are with you.
I am so sorry to hear that Steve. I hope down the line you can find something/someone that can help you with this.
Steve: I know someone who had a bypass on their leg artery about a year ago all due to heavy smoking and drinking. They also lost one of their toes in the process due to it being ulcerated as well. So to make this shorter they are doing great and no further blockage. They did get the stent first but that did not work so had to go to the bypass. They went through about 3 months of therapy after the surgery but are doing great now. Don't know if they do this in Cancun but more than likely far cheaper than in the US and don't know about what it would cost you in the UK.
