Un-packing Prefer to un-pack...BUT on our 1st visit to TTR, I was so excited about seeing round the resort, we left the bags half opened, quick dive into shower (10 hours flight demands a re-fresh), change into fresh togs and off..... only got 50 feet, as far as bar at quiet pool, met 8 or 10 people, drinks all round and round and...... took 3 days to get cases unpacked....artytime: Morale of the tale....... unpack quickly on arrival........ :lotsofmichaelfs:
I do what a lot of people do. A lot of individual ziplock bags with nightly theme, accessories all together. Those I tend to leave alone. I hang up the dresses. I pack all bottoms like shorts, skirts in 1 large plastic bags and same with tops so I stick one in each drawer so easy to find what I am looking for. But of course it all ends up a mess after a heavy day of drinking and trying to get dressed for dinner.
I have always unpacked. not last time, what a mess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for sure this time! I like the 5000 block for the extra drawer space. it only takes 20-30 and I know exactly where things are for the whole trip. hate digging! I put jewelry in separate little baggies last time so things weren't tangled.
Great advice and replies! It depends how long we are staying but will usually unpack most of my stuff too.
Our room (4000 block) had minimal storage. So wifey used that and I worked out of suitcase. Worked out well
You are a genius! I am absolutely doing this next trip! I am so often the one looking for that one silver hoop earring or that itty bitty black dress in the bottom of my suitcase....its seriously a buzz kill. Best idea ever! Nikki
I am torn; unpacking makes sense to help rid your clothes of wrinkles and stay organized. Leaving things in your suitcase makes sense because then you don't have to go through the bother of re-folding and packing the clothes you never wear back into your suitcase, and that's usually at least half of what you bring! What to do? Unable to decide, we do both. Gin usually unpacks, which makes sense with all her dresses and accessories. I leave my stuff in the suitcase, because after all, how hard is it to find the shorts, shirt and flip flops you want to wear on any given night! This approach worked well on our first trip to TTR. Turns out our room didn't even have a closet (no worries about what to hang up), and leaving my stuff in the suitcase, avoided the discussion of which 1 of the many drawers I would get!
somehow I thought I might find you here on this this thread :biggrinbandit: 3 days to unpack ,,,,,,,, yeah right :icon_rolleyes: edit ,,,, just told my better half that FFC took 3 days to unpack and her exact words were ,,,,,,, ' yeah right'
