2016 - Construction is Coming! What will we (you) do?

Based on what I have read on this forum so far it would appear that the bottom line is that no one really knows what is going to happen and thus far is complete speculation. If they are doing only a portion of the resort at a time (Assuming the upgrades are targeted towards the rooms), I would think that the party would continue mostly as normal as long as there is not any significant loud equipment. If most of the renovations are on the rooms which is my understanding, I would think minimal loud equipment would be required. Until more details are provided I'm not really concerned at this time. It's always good to have a back up plan but hopefully we won't need one. I'm sure the resort wants the transition to be as smooth as possible to keep the quests coming. Everyone keep their fingers crossed as we all will have to wait and see. Regardless, I'M GOING WHERE CHINO IS GOING. Hey Steve, can I book the Boob's Cruise Catamaran for a week? LOL!!!!

 

Where ever I am the party is, you have to make the best of any place...and well follow a June Junkie and your sure to have a good time...

 

we are on the fence, kind of waiting to see what, when or how the construction develops. we are looking to take a weekend trip mid September to TTR, then are going to the DR thanksgiving week to check out hard rock hotel and casino, which also has a European pool. we've heard good and bad about it, its a huge resort, and I guess we will see if its tame or not, hopefully I can make it a little less tame than it would seem on the surface, lol. if its nice it may be an option in April, or Hard Rock Cancun, if TTR is out of commission. keeping all options open at this point however, as we book April typically in December. We took a day pass trip this last trip to Desire RM, and it does have a party vibe, so that is on the options list as well.

 

Either way we'll be there. We have another couple that will be joining us for dinner that night. You'll love them. :wink3:

As far as cost goes, the next cruise which is on the MSC Divina out of Miami - April 2016- cost us $1075 each for an inside cabin. That includes the tips/taxes/port charges. So, yes, considering our TTR May trip, it's twice as much (not including air) and doesn't include alcohol. Now, if you only had Desire or Pearl to choose from, then the fee would be about the same, maybe more. But it is a different type of vacation- a cruise with no kids (the best part), the clothing optional aspect (if that's your thing), special areas just for lifestyle couples (if that's your thing), classes and seminars about adult things, huge theme parties, exotic ports with optional excursions.... We are not in the lifestyle but still have so much to enjoy and participate in. So, it's not for everyone but it's a great alternative for some.

We are going to suck it up and do a family vacation to disney with the kids but if we have extra $$ maybe a trip to costa rica.

 

We've been four times with the kids, let me know if you have any questions. We are big Disney fans.

 

We've we've done a couple bare boat cruises..........they are an absolute blast if you have great couples to go with..........friends before the trip.....do NOT trip with people you don't know well! So you know their attitudes well in advance of your cruise. Make sure your Captn and Firstie are qualified. Ours were X Navy Seals. Automatic weapons protection. That's a must depending on where you are sailing from. We took 3 days of food.......and caught the remains days. Shark on skewers over an open fire pit is an amazing feast! Also............if you don't have an amazing base tan don't attempt a trip.........you'll fry!

 

Thought you were talking ''Bare'' as in naked,, not survivor , style , sounds like fun though
