Thank you! That means a lot to me.. I'm just tired of living with pain and doctors trying to force me on opiate pain killers. I know I will be accepted and loved the same at TTR, I'm just scared I guess..I'm afraid some people will not understand why, and will treat me like a less of a man.

Firstly, may I say how glad I am that regardless of what you decide to do, you are still coming for the Halloween trip, as we can't wait to meet you!

Secondly, you sir are a true gent. Having not met you, and only speaking via CCC, i feel like we know each other anyway, regardless of not having met face to face yet. Personally, real leg/fake leg/cain - it doesnt matter either way. I would think no less of you for any of the above. If this op would take away the constant pain you say you are in, you need to make that choice of if having the amputation would give you better quality of life. You have the inujuries you have due to protecting and serving your country, so if anyone was 'upset by' or 'offended by' your prosthesis, they arent worth your friendship anyways!

Do what you need to to get better! Cain or no cain, your still having a boogey with us come Halloween! :)

    Much Love

    Sophie

    Dancing with the Stars

I agree with others do what you think is best for you and don't worry about how others view it.

I bet you have heard about or seen this, but there is a Vet named Noah Galloway (double amputee) on dancing with the stars right now. He is amazing and in super good shape (made the cover of Men's health magazine). There was a lady last season that danced with no feet and almost won the season. Amazing what can be done now with prosthetics and physical therapy training. I think their participation in the show is good in that it changes perceptions about such "handicaps". Reality is my wife and I have never be in as good a shape as either of these people nor dance even remotely as well.

I saw that guy on dancing with the stars. So amazing and inspiring. If you don't limit yourself because you have some sort of handicap. You are can be capable of doing many great things. Sometimes It's only you holding yourself back.

Acceptance no matter who you , what you are into and so on is a very important thing to me. Being gay, I can assure you, both Morgan and I have had our own demons with acceptance, but these days, after alot of loss in my life, i've realised you only live once, and you have to play the hand you are dealt, no matter what! Just be true to yourself! :xyxthumbs:
