I will be coming in with girlfriends at the end of May. I have severe back pain and have had 3 spinal fusions. I can still bring my pain meds, right? As long as I have a letter from my doctor along with the meds in their original bottles. Is this still correct? Thanks!
I work for TSA in the states and meds are fine. If they are liquid they will need additional screening, but otherwise leave in your bag, they should be fine.
So the cancun airport page says if you get the "red light", your bags will be hand searched. It also says if you needed a prescription to get them, then you need a prescription with you. Will a letter on my physicians letterhead with medications and dosages, signed by my physician not suffice?
So Barnabus, your post confused me. Are you saying a letter listing my meds on my physicians letterhead, signed by him will suffice or are you saying I need the actual written prescriptions to carry with my meds? I have a serious heart/lung issue and an autoimmune disease, so the list is long. The doctors office acts like it's a real pain to write out separate prescriptions for each med. Also, on meds I can't do without, I think I'd want to take a couple days extra with me in case for some reason I couldn't leave the day scheduled, like hurricaine, tropical depression, etc. Surely that wouldn't be a problem.
Our pharmacy , does a print out of aall the drugs in oour name, and the Doctors who perscibede them. unless you thinking of bring in a whole bunch of narcotics , I think you overthinking this ,, you reciets with your name/ bottles with your name,/ and correct amount of pills should suffice.
