Hi Everyone, I have never been to Cancun, I have read a million reviews online of all the hotels and I mean "all". I am very outgoing and my boyfriend of 4 yrs love having fun. I really like the idea of this place but do have a couple of questions if someone could please take the time to answer for me? Thanks! 1. Tell me why this is the best place briefly? 2. I'm a little self conscious about my body, not really over weight but not exactly skinny as I see in most of the pictures posted from you all, I havent worn a bikini in a very long time but own many, I feel like I have the "Mom" body.... will i fit in if I wore one but not be exactly the model type? 3. I've read reviews from other hotels that you have to make reservations to eat at certain restaurants yet when they've tried to there were never any spots available? Would this be the same here? 4. How would I know if you were from this board when I got there to say hello if you didnt have a picture posted? Do I just go up to everyone and ask "hey are you from the cancun.com board lol? 5. Is there anything at the hotel that "HAS" to be paid for? 6. Are you not allowed to participate in a theme night if you are not prepared for it? Can I not sit at the bar with everyone if I'm not in the theme for that night? 7. Bus transportation - yes or no? good or bad? just take a cab? 8. Something maybe we should know? To briefly answer: 1. Best thing - no kids - I love my children with everything I am, but I also love my vacation with my hubby when I don't have to see anyone else's kids either. Also, the people that vacation here are FUN! Have met some fantastic friends over the years! 2. No one will judge you about your body, there are all body types at TTR. My first trip was 8 mos after having my second child, def. "mom body" and I felt very comfortable. Don't get me wrong, TTR is good motivation for trying to look your best, but in my experience, your best will be just fine! 3. Never really had an issue with reservations, it may depend on the volume of people during your stay. . There are also a couple places that don't need reservations so options are open. 4.post a pic so that others can recognize you, be somewhat active on the forum, post your dates of travel, there is a link somewhere to get orange CancunCare bracelets and mugs if you choose. Or you can just ask!! 5. I don't think so, maybe some more recent visitors know of something? 6. Participation in theme nights is totally voluntary!! Last time we were there For lingerie nights, the resort didn't let you in the bar if you weren't in lingerie (keeps out creepy peepers), also kinda like "you show me yours, I'll show you mine" respect. Other themes are open, Paty'Os doesn't discriminate. 7. We've always done van transfers, privates are good, get there faster! 8. See answer #1 Hope this helps some! Alicia
Above is exactly spot on. We would add: 5- must do Steve's Boobs Cruise it should never be missed. 7- USA Transfers for the van between the airport and the hotel. Extremely reliable. Y'all will have a blast!!! SF

The people on the board usually wear Orange bracelets! 5...It's AI!! Just motorized sport and outside activities And if you like to Tip!!! 6... Yes..Theme Nights are open to Everyone!! Theme Nights are just for added FUN.Everyone Parties together!! 7... Do U mean from the airport or to get around Cancun?

Just returned from our first trip to TTR so we are no experts, but here goes. 1. If you are social and love a party (day and night) there is no place better! 2. Regular people come in all shapes and sizes, and TTR is full of regular people who just like to let their crazy side out. It's all about attitude, don't worry about feeling self conscious or out of place. You will see a lot of skin, and some crazy shit, so if you are conservative, maybe not the place to go! 3. Never made reservations while we were there, so hopefully someone else will address that, but plenty of places to eat (that are awesome) without reservations required. 4. Most board members have pictures, but don't worry, as I said, a very social place. You meet someone who introduces you to someone else and before you know it... 5. There are certain excursions that you pay for...same at most resorts. The staff is amazing so showing appreciation by tipping is encouraged. So don't worry, it's ALL INCLUSIVE! 6.Theme nights are not mandatory. Participate if you want, or not if you don't. Nobody is going to care, and you will have a blast either way. 7. Recommend you use US Transfer to get to the resort; it's quick and affordable. 8. All you really need to know is that you will have a blast if you embrace it. Fun you will have, rest might be a little harder to come by at TTR.
These two would be the only downside. The fact that you'll need a vacation from your vacation when you get back home! In all seriousness, if you can plan a detox day after you return and before you go back to work, your body will appreciate it!
