I didn't start this to scare folks, we have been coming since 2003, never had a severe issue, but as we get older find that we do have more "issues" and people have been posting their suggestions for years, so I thought I would check to see what the latest suggestions were. Michelle

I know it sounds crazy but it is true, we were really ill on our trip and when we got back... While there we put it down to drinking too much and general air con cough but got worse when we got home and it wouldn't go away... Ended up going to hospital....

So it is true.... Why would we make it up? I don't do lies.

We reported the shower problem to reception when we arrived, didn't realise the air con was a problem until near the end having spoke to others...
After getting diagnosis from the hopital I reported it to the travel company with room number etc... They took it from there...

That said we know about the mould issue now and how serious it was so we can go forearmed with sprays and will demand to be moved if it' looks really bad..
Were going back fully aware of what we need to do to avoid it this time!

Out of interest which room do you normally stay in??? Seems a safe bet!

If you told the resort they probably wouldn't do anything anyways

Starting to worry now, have suffered with a bad chest for the last 28 months, the last thing I need is for aggravation from mold or anything else.
I want to got to TTR to party, Not to be constantly puffing on an inhaler :-/

One solution is to leave the a/c off and your patio door open. If you don't mind the heat. At night, we do like it cool to sleep though. Just bring your Dettol and if you really want to cover your bases stop at Walmart and get some bleach and a spray bottle. That will wipe out mold but it doesn't smell so good.

We request the 5000 block ocean front but have stayed all over at one time or another. I believe all the guest that report mold and breathing problems but like the people who pee in the pool, have a hard time reckoning with it.

It's hard to believe we never experienced the mold. Probably to drunk to notice. I just hope the pool bars and restaurants aren't infected.

Honestly this is a nasty topic and I can believe the resort knows about it and refuses to do simple cleaning. People could get really sick.

We live in South Florida. Not using the AC is what causes the mold, because AC takes moisture out of the air. However, if the AC already has mold, you are better off airing the room out. Now we have to bring spray....just means less room for the clothing!

Ground floor rooms are probably worse.

The a/c at Temptation is not like our central a/c systems here in the states as it does not have an effective evaporator/drier in the system and that is why it has a mold problem. Supposedly, that is one of the upgrades that is supposed to be done in the renovations.
