Oops, I've just realized that I took more than the limit on this last trip that I just went on. From: Customs Regulations to and from Mexico We bought three liters each at the Duty Free store on our layover and then carried those on. But I did have two more in my checked bag. So technically we had four each. Oops. My bad. Oh, AND we got the Red Light and all our stuff was opened and checked. Mind you, we were travelling with FOUR children. So that was real fun. Especially when our teenager saw all my sex toys as our bag was being opened. Not.
I gotta ? How do you guys make your Jello shots there. Hey I make them at home but boil the water for the jello to set up. Will Jello set up using room temp water?
My bad, I guess when we check in we have to make sure we have a maker. Last time we didn't and didn't worry about it. I am going to bring stuff to make some and make sure we have a in room maker.
Also FYI - the link you provided above is not the official list of what is allowed into Mexico and is way out of date (hasn't been updated since - " Last updated: August 5, 2011") Currently(since Oct 2013) you are only allowed 10 pkgs of cigarettes (not 20 as they list)
This the website I found Mexico Travel - Entering Mexico - Government of Mexico Can seem to find a Mexican gov site.
Here is the link to the official Mexican Government site Customs and migration information And Here is the link to a PDF of the current(2013) actual customs form(english version) you fill out when you arrive - if you read it it lists everything that is currently allowed in duty free http://www.sat.gob.mx/informacion_fiscal/normatividad/formas_fiscales/Documents/A30_ingles.pdf
I'm not sure but I think if you were red lighted and caught with too much booze you would have to pay an import tax on the extra bottles. I don't think they would take it from you
And you would assume correctly, or you could microwave the water if you have a suitable container. From what we are told anyhow. We love to make Jello shots at home but this will be our first time doing them on vacation. Here's to more firsts!
