Picked up a Fujifilm FinePix XP60 16.4MP Digital Camera for 75 bucks on Amazon today.

    Can't beat the price

We also bought the FujiFilm XP70 16.4 Megapixal off of Amazon. Had pretty good reviews, plus some people on here said it was pretty good as well, so said what the heck.

After careful deliberation and reading the reviews I'd narrowed it down to two then weighing the pro's and con's of both eventually decided to go with the Olympus Tough TG 850 and from the little use I have had with it I am pleased with the results.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks for bumping this thread. It reminded me to order a floating camera strap. LOL

After you buy your new camera , buy a large floating key ring , our floating wristband,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, most cameras sink.

The floating camera strap seems a bit bulky to put in your pocket when not in use, and I don't want to keep it on my wrist when I am hanging out at the bar, and not actively in the pool/beach taking pictures. The floating key ring Donald mentioned seemes like it might have a bit of a lower profile. Can anyone recommend one of these that is smaller, but will still float a camera?

The floating camera strap I have has a quick release so that portion can be taken off easily when not using in water.
