No my understanding is that is is not readily available in Cancun. One of the places is the store near the Wallmart. It probably is double the cost as well. If you got the room, best to just bring a bottle or two in your checked bag.
A couple years ago I brought a lot of booze in my checked bag and had to pay a fee because I was overweight. The lady at the counter told me to leave it instead of paying the fee. I looked at her with crazy eyes and promptly told her I would rather pay the fee then not bring my precious booze. lol

You sound like my kind of women. do not lose the booze, rather take clothes out first. You need the booze but don't need clothes!!
We usually bring 6 bottles of fireball 2 in each checked bag. We can get the plastic 750 Mls here so it's safer
