I have been reading several comments about our beloved TTR closing for renovation , remodel etc. also read a post that stated it was up in the air as to whether it would still be TTR or adults only when it reopened. Does anyone have REAL knowledge of what is happening ?? When it is happening??? How long??? Like most of you we are already planning next yrs trip and we still have 24 days till this yrs trip lol. I LOVE TTR and the comments have made me a little nervous.
Nobody knows, unless they come out and say something specific just assume that its business as normal :aktion069:
Just got back a couple of weeks ago and tried to find out from staff, premier staff etc. It's all up in the air with no idea when for sure, how long or what.
Oh god wouldn't that just break our hearts if they changed it ... the atmosphere I mean.. I'm sure we all can agree it does need a few updates...
I hope they update the property needs some attention. With that being said I hope the vibe and concept remains the same we love TTR and the staff
When we bought in last November the plans were to start late 2015 but heard that they ran into problems and won't start til 2016. The plan never was to shut down the hotel completely. They said they couldn't afford to do that for financial reasons and they also did not want THEIR customers going elsewhere. The multimillion dollar renovation was suppose to include a new up-scale night club over the "buffet" restaurant. There were going to add some more rooms but the majority of the money was suppose to spent on the infrastructure of TTR (air conditioning, plumbing, room renovations...etc). So, so far so good. We arrive next Friday and are already booked to back in November. I guess we'll just take it one day at a time!
We were told through conversation with a premier member who attended a meeting on their visit , that the resort would not be closing but they would close off sections/blocks of rooms starting possibly this year (no definite date), the closed off rooms would then get new plumbing etc and be given a facelift . Theres no way the resort is going to close , TTR could not afford the loss of $$ and they know that other resorts will be waiting in the wings to ramp up their resorts/entertainment/vibe to try and duplicate what TTR has and pull some extra business in in the hope that the the TTR goers will after trying the replacement resort continue to go there instead of TTR. Like all the other posts on CCC about the possible reno/closure its all speculation JOHO.
We were just there beginning of April, my wife's first trip. Took her a day or so to settle but is now addicted. She want to come back, I hope they don't shut it completely down.
