Arriving at TTR this weekend, along with some friends we met there last winter. While we do get along quite well normally, it turns out our teams play each other in the first round! We are really hoping the games will be available in the rooms (so we can impose some sexy penalties on each other when teams score). The sports bar would also be ok if it meant not having to leave the resort. Any hockey fans there right now want to keep an eye on their TVs tonite and report back with which series are being broadcast? :flagcanada: If we do end up having to head offsite to a sports bar for the game, does anyone have any recommendations?
Highly doubt any games will be on in the rooms. There are like 2 channels in English. Might have better luck in the Sports Bar. At least someone is in there to make drinks! If you are in the room, just make bets on what will happen on channel 12..."Umm I bet he is going to finish on her..."
They had the Cowboys-Giants game on in the Sports Bar in November (Sunday night game), not in the rooms at all. But, it did draw a big crowd and made for some fun socializing with people we hadn't met yet. Sports bar would be the best bet.
If memory serves you probably can't get the playoffs at the resort. Hockey just isn't a big time sport in Mexico. You may have to make a trip to somewhere like Hooters. Although you can get by if someone has a smartphone for score updates etc when in Paty O's.
As far as I can tell Mexican wifi is a series of monkeys with tin cans and string, good luck with that lol
