Not to sound like a total lame-o, but are there sides of the hotel that are quieter at night than others? I am a very light sleeper and if I can hear the bass from music, a load snorer next door, etc. I won't sleep at all. Plus....Kimmy wants to be able to relax when needed. She's already told me we'll be in the quiet pool most of the day. Also, what's the difference in the pools? Is the sexy pool the only place to take your top off? Everyone seems to believe the quiet pool is.....boring. Thanks! Chris & Kimmy
1000s, 4000s(never been so can't say for sure), and the 5000s are all pretty quiet. It is just the areas around PatyO's that are loud. Also, I imagine you can hear the sexy pool shenanigans in the 3000s during the day. The quiet pool doesn't have to be 100% quiet or boring. There just isn't a DJ and pool games going on there. You can make it fun there if you wanted. I saw groups of people out there on floats and rafts just lounging in the pool drinking and talking. And yes people are topless there as well. The beach can also be quiet. Sorry to hear your wife already said you will be at the quiet pool most of the day. But as many people will probably say, people go their first time with this preconceived notion, but it doesn't always play out that way. I have met people that say on day one that the Sexy pool is too much, and they will just stay at the quiet pool. Then on their 3rd day they are in the Sexy pool and mad it took them that long to give in.
Everyone has their preferences. We love to party and do so until past closing at Paty O's, but prefer to have a room in a quiet area. Whatever suits you is what works best ! Have a good trip!!!
one option is to bring earplugs in case you have loud neighbours or can hear some music from patyo's... we just party until the music stops so didn't have to worry too much about the noise / music at night... i think most people think the quiet pool is boring when you compare it to the sexy pool... just because the sexy pool is where the majority of people hang out and most of the socializing goes on. Yes people wonder off to the beach or to the quiet pool but overall you will find most people spend more time around the sexy pool than anywhere else during the afternoon. It is like comparing a night club to a quiet pub... u can drink at both but really totally different vibes. It is hard to explain until you are there i think but like others have said you might go in thinking one way and quickly change your mind once you get a feel for the place.
$1,000,000 that lasts one day..... Just saying :banghead: To hard not to wonder what your missing by not being by the sexy pool. Frank
The 2xxx rooms are the block around Patio bar. Some are noisier than others, but if you want to avoid the worst of the noise, it's best to try to avoid that block. I've been in rooms where the patio door opens literally onto the sexy pool area and have not felt noise even during the day to be an issue. I'd suggest not over-thinking the room selection other than avoiding the 2xxx block. As ChrisandKev mentioned, ear plugs can be a lifesaver if you are noise sensitive. My last trip I got stuck right next to both Patio and the Patio kitchen, so even when the music stopped, I had kitchen cleanup for another 2 hours. It was Halloween '14 week and the resort was full with no options to move...earplugs saved that trip. The foam ones are fine, but you can get really comfortable custom molded plugs from any ear-doctor for like $40 in an hour. Strongly recommended to anyone who travels at all. All the pools are 'topless-optional' but my experience is that the quiet pool is a tiny fraction that the sexy pool or beach have. I'd also suggest the beach over the quiet pool...it's a different, slower, quieter vibe than the sexy pool, but a little more traffic and interesting than the quiet pool, which really does live up to it's name. Other than Oliver being the bartender over there now, I don't find much to recommend staying over there...oh well, you can get a chair...lol Nate
:icon_lol:Ask for a room away from Patyo's . We always choose rooms by the quiet pool and yes you can be topless by the quiet pool . The only place where you cant be topless on the resort is the restaurants (duhhhhhh):icon_lol::icon_lol: and the lobby . Have fun .
I guarantee you that is what will happen with us but she tends to roll into the party, I tend to run, slide in, and do a backspin!
